Ex-Spurs Player Harry Kane

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

We have close to a 0% chance of winning trophies and city have close to 100% chance of winning trophies based on the last 10 years. If anyone is interested in winning trophies, the choice is obvious.
Close to zero is very negative. Do we have the same odds as City, no. But we do have better odds than West Ham. Optimistic perhaps (which generally I don’t tend to be) but Leicester won the FA Cup last season. Why won’t Spurs next season.

no one knows and there are no guarantees of anything, what if football actually got some balls and City are banned - then what ? It’s unlikely to happen, but it could and then where is Harry going for his guarantees ?

This is how some will spin it, no matter what happens.

Levy gets £160m
"Levy you cunt, our best player left because of you"

Levy gets less than £160m
"Levy you cunt, you've let him go for fuck all, just so you can line your pockets"

Kane stays
"Levy you cunt, you should of let him go, he deserves it and he's not committed"

Kane stays and becomes top scorer again and leaves next year for @ £100m
"Levy you cunt, we could of got £140m last year if you weren't so tight *.

And on it goes.

No. You are wrong as always.

1. If we sell him for 160, levy you cunt now spend that .

2. If we sell him for less than that, levy you cunt now spend that, why did you waste so much time you fucking moron.

3. if he stays, levy you cunt buy some players of kane's quality or what is the fucking point of keeping him you dickhead. this squad wont be winning anything.

4. if kane stays and become topscorer and leaves for 100 next year (while we win nothing), levy you cunt why did you waste another year of kane and ours, you absolute shitcunt.

4a, same as 4 but if we win something, allrighhhhhhhttttt lets do this!! But extremely unlikely.

Why weird ? It’s a fair question.

While they wear our shirt I’d much rather the players we have do well and I will support them rather than fawn over City’s squad and think our better players should be there and we should accept it.

I'm not speaking about your point of view though. I'm talking about Kane and why he would want to move to City or a club at that elite level. Money is a factor but so is winning trophies, as is playing with better players, which was the point I'm making.

I am basing these numbers based on the last 10 years. We won 0 trophies out of (around) 40 competitions that we entered, so chances of winning are close to 0%. And city have been winning more than 1 competition every year, so theres a near 100% chance of them winning something again.

Vega is making himself look a right knob. Completely irrelevant and bang average former player that was nowhere near the level of Kane. But as long as he continues to get a few pats on the back by Tottenham fans he'll keep giving his opinion on social media and making himself feel far more important and relevant than he actually is.

Oh look TylerB once again dissing on Spurs... go figure.

Vega might not have had Kanes skill level, not many players do, but Ramon always turned up and gave it his best and he still clearly loves the club.

If Kane does end up at City and wins a load of medals, which club do you think he'll talk/tweet passionately about after he retires......

Been feeling this way for years now......

Just got sidetracked by the romance of doing it with Poch; but the football gods smiled on Leicester that year..... The following year a Europe-free Chelsea spent 200m and bought he league once again.

What sickens me the most is how few other club's fans seem to be switched on to what's happening....... Are we just sensitive to it as it has effected us the most? (I suspect so.).... Ditto the media's ambivalence.

The deeper sentiment behind the whole ESL outcry was so bogus!
Honestly it’s probably easier to win the CL than the PL with what City are doing. There will be an outlier every 4-5 years like with Leicester and hell even Liverpool to an extent.

He could have won plenty of trophies with us

He just realized he needs an all star cast to win anything.

That’s why City is the only option for him.

If he wins trophies with City no one will give him credit. They don’t need him which is why they aren’t paying up. He’s kind of nice to have but not necessary for City

Definitely.... Which is why I desire it SO much more (that and the fact that's it's our 'bread and butter')..... It's also why no-one barely notice Liverpool's win.

The fact that you think I'm "dissing Spurs" because I don't share your opinion... Well. What's the actual point of even debating with those type of people.

Unfortunately, the easiest way Kane could win the Champions League was by turning up on 1 June 2019 and putting in a man of the match performance against an off tone Liverpool. If he wanted to win the league, what happened with his influence as recently as December 2020 when Spurs were top and somehow imploded to shit. It was not everyone else’s fault and not his.

I agree with you. He’s not one of our own. As far as I know he ( like I ) is a Walthamstow man. Nothing would take me to poxy Manchester :)
Walthamstow ,then Chingford i believe.

think a lot of fans just wish a new owner comes along and changes everything most do not care where the money comes from if the results bring success they may give out about other clubs but that can flip pretty quick .Not a big fan of man city owners but sure all countries trade or whatever with some countries who have fairly dubious records .The way things are going a group of elite clubs are pulling away from the rest .

Is anyone else beginning to think ,whats the point? We cant, and probably never will be able to compete financially with this lot.

It will make the league less competitive, less enjoyable to watch, and therefore worth less in TV money.
That will further increase the gap with City being one of the few clubs that doesn't need TV money in the same way.

It's ruining football in a way arguably worse than the super league.
There's no chance City could get relegated now which was a huge part of that argument.

But pundits like Neville urge players to 'make the big move for their careers' consistently throughout each season like it's a good thing for the game?!

How can anyone enjoy removing competition? The City fans couldn't give a fuck with half the trophies they win now - that says it all. 1 trophy for Spurs is worth 10+ for City.
Any sport that is dominated is boring, and the achievements worth less the more it's dominated.

Average points over the past 10 seasons.. City are more than 10 points ahead of any rival!
It's getting to a situation where if they win the league by fewer than 10 points they ought to be mocked - but who gives a fuck any more?

Ultimately. It's highly unlikely that Kane is going anywhere now as City don't seem to be prepared to pay what he's worth. Levy won't let a player with 3 years left on his contract leave for any less.

Kane's definitely been given a lot of shit over the last week, deservedly so in my opinion but if he stays, he has to give 100% and try and work hard to change fan's opinion on him. Equally, I'd like to think that fans would cut him slack and give him the opportunity to redeem himself.

What he would need to do in order to redeem himself would be different from person to person. I'm sure that if he knuckles down, looks committed, and scores a ton, it'll win some over. Which is fine. Each to their own. Personally, I don't care, if he scores 75 goals this season. The cloud will always hang over him and over his relationship with the club, that he'll do us dirty at the first opportunity. Most players would; that's modern football, but he'll forever be a notch below all the other mercenaries, because of his behaviour here. He could only redeem himself in my eyes with a few actions which he'll never take.

Just imagine how football fans in Scotland outside Glasgow feel. That's the way it's heading here.
This is why I believe that the ESL is not dead, just sleeping and waiting for another opportunity. It's obvious that the biggest (i.e. richest) clubs still want an even bigger slice of that global pie and will have to spin off completely from Uefa and the PL to create a European or World Super League in order to get it, probably within 5-10 years. Maybe it will mean that they just create new clubs from scratch in a franchise model to avoid a recurrence of the unholy mess from the last attempt. The rest will be left behind with their supporters to carry on without them.

Whether we (the fans and/or owners) will want to be, or will invited to be, part of the new order remains to be seen.

we have to be realistic. I initially thought that when city offered 120m for him we’d get maybe 140m.

I think in the current climate that’s about right. Harry’s great and been great but it’s clear we need to rebuild. Levy tacking on 20m on top of that is just laughable.

so we get the worst of both worlds. A player who will have a troubled mind all season, angry at the chairman for lying to him. Fans looking like idiots as they cheer him after snake and cunt jibes. And then next season provided he’s not injured we sell him for probably a lot less than 140m.

A wasted season. Resentment everywhere.

the smart chairman would have said thanks for a fantastic ten years you will always be a legend and welcome here while pocketing 140m for a player who is statistically due an injury pretty soon.

what you think is right money wise is different to what I think for the reasons given above.
Why should we take a lower offer?
Why should we help a
So your argument is that City offered 120m.
Kane is worth 140m
Levy is in the wrong for wanting 160m
Levy should accept 140m
Even though City haven't offered 140m
We need to squeeze every last Penny out of city. Fucking disgusting how they got Kane to basically cost us decent European football . Citeh have no shame but then when your owned by a country that thinks nothing of human rights and FFP it's not surprising.
