Ex-Spurs Player Harry Kane

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Another Charlie Kane brainfart this morning, as if telling the world of Harry's despair will make any difference at all. In the time he's been away from his job he's earned more than most of us make in ten years.

Even in the latest briefing from Kane he says he will give his best for us if the move doesn’t happen.

Kane has a swelled head, the damage to his reputation in the last few weeks has been huge and if he stays he will keep trying to score goals and win matches. He cares too much about his rep as a “top professional” not to do that.

If Kane wants to persuade us that it’s better to get rid and compromise, he needs to go nuclear and submit a formal transfer request. Release a proper public statement. The full shebang. These lazy leaks to journalists are kid shit to Levy, if he wants out so bad he is going to have to burn all his bridges to cinders. He’s not giving us any reason to change our position.
I hope he does do that this circus and disruption to the team stops. The last thing Nuno and Spurs need is the constant press pressure about Kane throughout the season. Hopefully MC will pay what Levy wants or negotiate close to it.

What the material difference between a formal request and making comments to press, coming back later from hols?

A formal request puts it absolutely on his head that he wants to go.

And I suspect there will be some contractual/monetary consequences as well.

Big difference between the club agreeing to sell a player and that player actively, formally, looking to leave

I think City are hoping Spurs will sell as the window gets closer but whether there is any prospect of that who knows.

Levy can do what he wants. Whether he is wise to turn down £100m plus for a 28 year old who wants to leave is their decision. I know what I would do and that gives me hope. I don't rate Levy and I can see now why they are struggling. They should have moved ages ago to get the best money for the player, and the best replacements. Now they will either leave it so late that they can't replace him, or they wont sell him at all and they will inherit a cloud over their club.”

The arrogance of this set of supporters is astounding, hence why I feel the need to keep copying and pasting their ridiculous blue moon forum. What sh** tty fans can’t seem to grasp is we are not desperate here. They all seem to think we will fall to pieces if Harry Kane stays 😂 if Harry stays, yes there will be a lot of damage that needs rectifying, but he will put his nut down and do his best. The players will welcome him back with open arms too. This whole narrative that City fans think they hold all this power is hilarious. You are desperate for a striker City fans. You couldn’t even beat us without Harry 😅😅 so, how do you come to the conclusion we are a mess ? You either pay up or shut the fuck up!!!

You have to think that if City were willing to pay the £150m+, they’d have done it already. I just don’t understand why they spent that money on Grealish if Kane was their priority. They have totally fucked it.

Now their only strategy seems to be to try and persuade us into letting him go for lower than his market value. Levy will not move an inch, rightly so.

The club weren't bothered, they didn't fine him, they didn't publicly state they were disappointed by his actions. Also Kane was invited to stay at Joe Lewis resort in the Bahamas. The club were compliant in a lot of this confusing mess.
The delay in him returning was due to him taking an extended trip to Florida. The club weren't complicit in that.

Had he returned straight from the Bahamas, he'd not have missed preseason.

The scramble to find some blame for the club here is getting just a tad desperate.

I teach kids with severe behavioural problems.

You never give in to petulance, it just makes things worse.
Off topic- Credit to you mate. That’s a fantastic job and extremely challenging. There’s not many people who have the ability, compassion & patience to do what you do.
And here we are discussing poor old Harry on his £200k a week that he hasn’t even been earning for a fortnight.
Back on topic- I said yesterday that something needed to be said - even a goofy explanation. And there we have it. The club should either confirm or refute it now so the fans know the score.
