....to be devil's advocate, surely not shifting them is a fact given the players didn't move? Hence it can still be a failing.
Whether we received bids for them is surely somewhat secondary?
You can both be right on this one therefore :)
You can't sell a player that has no interest.

Determining it as a failure of Spurs that no other club wants them is a fallacy. One dreamt up as a reason to attack Levy.

It's so transparent.

I just want a striker.. And it would be pretty good end to it. Defence pretty much sorted, young + loads of potencial with Sessegnon, Tanganga and Rodon very young. Attacking midfielders will depend on Lo Celso and Ndombele, sadly, but could work. Gil and Berg SZN is upon us too.

Now just a striker, a back-up for Kane.

The spend, spend, spend dudes are the same people that DEMANDED Tanguy Ndombele, Roberto Soldado, Davinson Sanchez and Moussa Sissoko.

They absolutely wet themselves over the money spent on them.

They never learn but tell everyone else how clever they are.

The need for outgoings to open up squad room let alone generate funds was always going to be a massive struggle this summer given the state of the market.

Paratici did okayish. I’ll upgrade to full okay if Aurier gets out the door.

Levy needs to supply industry standard funding for the football operation, and if it’s spent on garbage that needs to fall at the feet of our recruitment team.

I'm happy with the start to the season. Delighted, in fact.

I won't be happy if it all unravels of the coming months because of €NIC continuing to prioritise property investment over football team investment.

Will you?
Just enjoy the now! We're top of the league. Have started to build a much younger, more talented squad. Enjoy it for a bit!

It's like me waking up next to Kate Mason every morning but spending the day miserable cos I know she'll eventually dump me for someone thinner, younger and funnier.

I will tell you now...I'm still enjoying the bejesus out of the days she's there!

I've watched Dele super closely, for a long, long time.

When he has an outstanding game, I'll be the first to cheer it.

He's been decent and played some nice stuff in advanced positions.

I've given him props in game threads, when he's done good things.

I don't think nuno is helping him playing him in MF.

I don't like his support capabilities for the LB, there.

He wouldn't be a player I'd start.

Squad + utilised further up the field.

For me, personally, Dele has to regain my trust in him.
I agree with all of that bar the 6th sentence. If anything, the most noticeable change from him is his tracking back to support the LB. It was highlighted in MOTD how he was in there challenging, on the left, to win back the ball in our half. It was Dele who was challenging Sissoko on the left when he got to the byeline and managed to get the cross in for their only real decent half chance. Granted he didn't stop the ball coming in, but he's been working very hard to protect our left flank defensively.

I wanted Dele sold this Summer too, but I think we're seeing a re-emergence from him. 3 games in is probably a little to early to call, but I'm liking what I'm seeing from him so far.

I've also noted that he appears to be dwelling on the ball less, looking to progressively pass forward earlier than he has done in the past.

Like you, I feel he needs to do more for me to trust he really has turned over a new leaf, but the initial signs I feel are good.
