It’s the genius of two windows no transfers , makes a Meh window seem almost acceptable.Opinion on this window?
Meh.
It's a start I suppose.
We're still way short of depth in key positions and our squad is nowhere near as strong as last season's Top 4.
6th at best.
Just read that he's out of Udinese. Maybe get him on a free? I'd love it for him to come back.I am a bit shocked that we don't bring in more Llorente-type players. He was enormous for us in both the league and CL as a backup and then we never replaced the basic skill set.
The ability to change the way we play when it's not working is sorely needed. And, having a striker that plays a bit of a different game is always helpful.
Deadline day really ain’t what it used to be. A negative consequence of PL clubs becoming less stupid.Sky hyping up another damp squib deadline transfer day. I’ve invested about half hour since about 9 this morning and Ronaldo seems to be the only story.
Oh and Tim Vickery completely misrepresenting our signing Emerson
They do that everywhere don't they?
When I worked in Basingstoke there was a fucking great big hill on the entrance to an industrial estate, no houses, no pedestrians, no schools anywhere near and they camped behind a hedge right at the bottom. You had to apply the brakes not to coast over 30 the hill was so steep.
It always just been a revenue stream.
The English on here will say as long as Australia gets it first, total annihilation will be worth it.
Whoever said yesterday that we’d know if there would be any other business based on whether we announced Emerson early in the day or not was bang on, well done.
Hard to understand how Arteta is still in chargeWoolwich's defence is now good on paper
Tierney White Gabriel Tomiyasu
That should be very solid. However their club is a bit of a mess at the moment so who knows.
I think Nuno's fitness level ideas are much like Poch's.That's a lame excuse (from him).
Jose famously under worked the team in this regard...
Mason's mates so yeah.
But Nuno?
It's about signing young players with potentially high resale values.Looks like this transfer window is not for this season but for the future.
Ill be watching this season with zero exceptations, guess thats not so bad
:nunodisappointed:
It is absolutely insane that he can make it to be a Premier League footballer with all the commitment, talent, competition, hard work and luck that that entails only to get there and say fuck it. And then even more insane to think that Real, Barcelona or PSG would be scrambling to sign him based on his recent seasons.
However it's even more worrying that our club would pay him £220,000 a week and that Levy would make him our record signing particularly when he quibbled over paying £27m for grealish instead of £25m.
I think we should loan him to Newcastle or Woolwich but pay all his wages to make sure they take him. What a cunt. And when I say cunt I mean, an absolute cunt.
Levy should invest in an in-house psychologist and a soft play area with edible crayons and a gutter for the river of tears.
Why is pep pissed off at Kane? Kane has been begging him very publicly to come get him but city never made a decent offer. If pep was expecting Kane to work the deal out with Levy so he could go on the cheap I think he's only got his side to blame.Where to? That is a massive assumption doubt Man City ever come back especially how pissed off Guardiola is with him. Utd have got Ronaldo this summer doubt they will bid for Kane. Liverpool have enough problems with the age of their strike force so they are not going to bid for Kane and Chelsea have got Lukaku. If Kane wants to spend the rest of his career in the Premier League I think he is stuck at Tottenham so he is better off signing a large contract and concentrating on winning his trophies here.
Some people just like to bitch and moan, I guess. Especially in hindsight, I guess. IIRC there was very much a "the jury's still out" feeling about Grealish, when we were in for him. All the same, Levy stepped on from that (and most of his dealings) to pull out all the stops to get Ndombele from under the noses of bigger clubs. IIRC basically everyone thought we'd signed a superstar at the time. As it turned out, Grealish became the superstar and Ndombele a lazy fuck. Hindsight's lovely ain't it. Still....
Why don't you just pay up instead of haggling to tight, bald fucker?
When he does pay up: Why did you pay that much you stupid, bald fucker?
I'm sat firmly on the meeeeeeh fence with regards to Levy, before the Levy apologist comments flood in. He's doing some things superbly, and with other things I'd prefer a (much) different approach. In any case, I'd rather be on the fence and take each thing on its own merit, than being someone who blatantly complains just to complain.
