All I have done is point out that using clubs that we all agree are poorly run or way below us as comparable shows how poor we have been.

Thank you for that. I'm so glad that we can say we have improved on one of the club's poorest periods in modern history.

Now we are in a position to win titles, I'm so glad that we've got the ambition to make the final step towards winning titles, in 8 years time when pape Sarr hits his peak we will be right up there with the juggernauts!

Gollini as far as I’m concerned is going to be 2nd choice to Hugo all season with the view of being the main guy when he goes. Sarr the youngster has gone back on loan which means the club have no plans with him until next season. Romero whilst an exciting signing, is only really a replacement for Toby. I still think Sanchez and Dier are a pair of clowns and will get found out. We haven’t really addressed this. Right back if this Emerson turns out too be decent could be an obvious upgrade on Aurier and Doherty, but that’s not exactly hard. Bryan Gil, whilst exciting is again one for the future. There’s no real intent too play him in the starting 11 at the moment.

So I ask again, what have we done that will instantly improve us? We have no senior back up striker, so if the inevitable Harry Kane 2 month ankle injury occurs, we are once again heavily reliant on Sonny. Hoping and praying he doesn’t pick up an injury too, otherwise the season is well and truly down the toilet.

We haven’t replaced either Bale or Vinicius. Instead, we are supposed to accept a 17 year old talent but a complete rookie in Scarlett. If Harry and Son gets injured, are we throwing a 17 year old in the spotlight ? Sorry, but it’s amateur stuff once again from the most unambitious chairman and owners on the planet. We never learn and it’s a wonder why we never win anything.

The goal of the window was not to immediately improve us… it was to improve our future. We aren’t going to win the title this year. This is what we should have done post -Poch but we put off rebuilding for a year and the team got way worse.

Immediate improvement is very expensive and does not always last long.

It is not that easy to do both unless you are an oil club.

Thank you. So we are better off than Woolwich, who won the FA cup 2 years ago, but worse off than ourselves 30 years ago, because then we won the FA cup?

Surely you see the flawed logic in that? Its all I have been trying to explain. I havent been saying we are as good as we can be, ENIC are the best etc etc and I havent compared us to neither Wigan nor Woolwich. They were merely used to point out the flawed logic in using an FA cup and a league cup title up to 30 years ago as examples to where are are today compared to where we were then.
