Look chelsea and city can spend spend spend cos of their owners have vast surplus of cash. Were paying off our stadium and just come out of pandemic. Its near phenomenal we beat city first game and top going into international break. Yes theres big challenges ahead but i said from start nuno is a good choice. Now were out of pandemic the money will flow in. Part of being supporter is supporting the club. I paid 65 quid for ticket yesterday. Didnt like paying that but it supports the club. Our time will come. Were almost there.

Decent window. Defence hopefully sorted for the foreseeable. Midfield could probably do with one more creative player (unless glc or ndombele decides to start being good). We are a striker short, hopefully no major injuries to son or Kane.

I think the club are a little reluctant to spend big given the recent big money flops (although I think all could still turn it around) of ndombele, glc, Sanchez.

All good signings we made imo. Got rid of deadwood or most of it. I would like to see toby and vertonghen back at club in an academy or upstairs role. Im positive. We wouldnt be top if jose was here. Probably next to Woolwich. Theyre in disarray and have been since wenger left.

Really pleased with our transfer activity. We’ve kept Kane for at least another season, signed one of the best young CB prospects in Europe, a promising right back for the starting 11 who played really well for Betis and seems ideal for the EPL, and finally I’m really excited about Bryan Gill - I think he is going to be a star.

From what I’ve seen so far there will be a few players also transformed under Nuno and playing with a much better energy than under the grumpy one.

I’m feeling positive about the season ahead and think we can certainly break the top 4 and return to Champions League football where we belong. On a side note it has been so refreshing seeing fans back in the stadium.

The only sour note for me is the Tanguy situation, a real mess.

our buisness over the years has been shocking, sissoko 30 mill sold for 2 mill, aurier 20m? now in talks to terminate contract, ndombele 60 mill going the same way.
Weren't there offers for Aurier last season? Now this is hindsight but letting him go for cheap last season rather than paying him to leave this season seems a reasonable financial decision. Too bad we didn't do it.

The hillarious part is I agree. Sometimes you need to sink losses (the fee) and cut the future expenses (the wages) if the risks are to high. E.g. if a player is a bad influince.

However, seeing this thread, seeing it being marketed as proof of how well the transfer window is going? ROFL

I guarantee you the defense is not sorted. We need to CBs out and 2 in. And a back up left back in place of Davies. Granted, that’s not gonna happen in one window. But we should have done much better in this one!
