110 million on crap, shows how bad the decision making is at this club, in retrospect we could've spent the same on grealish fernandes and dias at maybe a little more

Shocking purchases, bar Lamela (who was another panic buy following the Bale capitulation), all made in the reigns of Poch and Jose, two head coaches who both insisted they did not decide upon transfers.

Yet we all keep wondering where the responsibility lies.

Hillarious.

Look, I was so very supportive of ENIC/Levy only a few years ago (pre-Poch fiasco).

I even gave them the benefit of the doubt over screwing an over-achieving Harry redknapp over.

But when we see the cycle repeat itself over and over again, there's only so many times you can give the benefit of the doubt before it's clear naivety.

The outcome of this window was predictable, on the basis of looking at previous windows under the same ownership.

We cannot continue to be suckers for the club's narrative of "we've tried our best under the resource constraints but couldn't get deals over the line". Then proceed to pay the highest in season ticket prices and be expected to buy a brand new set of shirts every year.

Spurs had enough money (borrowing power) to spend ONE BILLION POUNDS on a stadium.

To people with their eyes closed, this comes across as baseless moaning, but these discussions need to be had to encourage critical thinking and objective analysis of the pattern that we find ourselves in.

I guarantee you the defense is not sorted. We need to CBs out and 2 in. And a back up left back in place of Davies. Granted, that’s not gonna happen in one window. But we should have done much better in this one!
Oh another enic out chum. Hello 👋. Deadline day must be your favourite day of the summer, perfect to recruit new disciples and criticise levy .

Blah, blah, fucking blah. Enic in, Enic out. Levy's a cunt, oohhhhh no he's not!! Need to sell Kane, fuck no need to keep Kane fuck the human rights abusers, give us the money or fuck off. Gil, Gollini, jelly, cue Danny Rose emoji looking confused. Same old same guys but i love you all. Sorry for the ramble but we'll all be here tomorrow
Like Zappa says 'The torture never stops'.

Well if you went all in for paratici this season you have been well and truly mugged off by levy.
barring a stunning series of miracles, namely
1. turnaround in ndombles form. howing previously hidden talent. Hill being much more advanced than anyone realising.
2. defence not returning to norm of being a bit wank.
3. Kane /son not getting injured (especially not at the same time.)

we are fucked. Will finish 7th or below.

coys!!

There were so many opportunities out there

Aouar?? etc.. Why didn't 'the don' go for them.

The don has annoyed me. I don't rate him as highly as some of you do. I told you ages ago wait until the end to judge him. Some of you got so excited. He's got deals lined up. He's cooking etc.

He's cooking what? The pans fucking burnt smh.
He’s just an employee. He will have lined up tens of deals for Levy and the board to sign off on.

My personal opinion is that the only reason he was hired was to help with the possibility of Kane going. I expect him to move on in the next twelve months or so.

That's it, we should only have spent players that would have been successful.. I'm sure every other club only signed successes and everyone we've signed is a terrible waste of money.

3 league games ago, no one would have predicted that Dier & Sanchez were the most effective defensive partnership in the league. Now I'm not silly enough to believe that means we're going to be wonderful in defence for the rest of the season but it does show it's possible to get a tune out of what we have instead of buying in new players again. Rodon needs to get fit, Romero needs to bed in, this is not a horror show, 4 good central defence options, 5 if you include Tanganga.

Right now there lies a set of opportunities and threats, Tanguy knows he is staying, he can either get in the groove to put himself in the shop window and be useful to us or be a liability, the latter option doesn't work well for him. Kane needs to redeem himself with the fans and the squad, goals will help him with that no doubt.

We have needed a spare striking option for years and that quality has been a huge variable, we need to see if Scarlett can play a supporting role or we can get a tune out of other squad players, there have been occasional dalliances with getting Dele as an up front presence and you have Moura, possibly Gil with some potential to go up top, this may still play out ok, bear in mind the top scoring team in the league doesn't have even 1 recognised striker.

This transfer window is never going to be worth judging now in any case, by January we'll really know what we have, what we need and what's proven good value for us. We started well and most importantly we've seen the value of a good system and good coaching, let's not go to the self harm stages quite yet.
