Problem with Serge was an utter lack of consistency.
He could be brilliant on his day, i can't be alone in thinking his upside was pretty considerable (maybe though!). The problem was he was the footballing equivalent of a box of Revels. And the brainfarts were all too frequent.
Overall he just wasn't good enough as a result. Nowhere near intelligent enough for a top team despite having a lot of other good attributes. Shame

We were told all window.
To wait.
The final days would be manic
Paratici is cooking
He has lost of deals lined up . Lots of possibilities

In the end it was a total dissapointment!

In overall first team squad terms

In: Gollini, Romero, CCV, Sessegnon, Emerson, Skipp, Gil, Clarke (Sarr - to loan)

Out: Hart, Alderweireld, Rose, Aurier, Sissoko, Lamela, Bale, Vinicius (Foyth, Gazzaniga - from loan)

Improved in defense, got much worse and thinner in attack, got younger, cheaper and under longer-term contract overall.

Wow, Chelsea weren't able to sign Kounde. They didn't want to pay the release clause, but instead wanted to negotiate a lower fee. #justpayAbramovich #AbramovichOUT

It is always funny to see the apologists try to compare a top 4, CL winning side to us. Its almost like they don't need players as much as we do, but anything to try and take the focus on the utter dogshit transfer business we have done under Levy.

Well, it was a shitty window as always... Way too much time used by Levy on being cheap, amounting to nothing. Gutted that we didn't sign a star midfielder and a second striker.

Skipp is too slow and insecure in the number 6 position. He is fine at helping out the defence, being the intermediary between defence and midfield, but he doesn't create anything going forward, e.g. lack of killer passes and lack of moving the ball forward fast in counter-attacks.
I don't know if Moriba would have been the answer, as I don't know much about him (other than his attributes in Football Manager), but Neves would have been excellent in that position.
Naturally, I don't know why we didn't end up with any of these, but, as far as I understand, there have been rumours that it wass due to us not being able to shift players like Winks and Ndombele. If that's the case, then that's bullshit. If we want CL then we got to gamble a bit - just sign the star midfielder, and let Ndombele and Winks rot on the reserves until they agree to terminate their contracts or accept incoming bids.

I'm not surprised Kane wanted to leave - it's a fucking shit show in the board room.

Speaking of which, we also only have one striker in the team... and a youngster. What on earth were they thinking? When Kane's mid-season injury appears, we're fucked. On top of that, Kane is definitely not going to be very motivated this season as he definitely wanted to leave. He might say he will give 100 percent, but unless we keep our form going (which I highly doubt), he will subconsciously not be at 100 percent.

Of course, we still got some good signings in Romero, Gil and Emerson. Our squad depth is, on paper, not bad, but when you look at the midfield and see that two of our five central midfielders are Winks and Ndombele, you realise that the depth is just a lie.

Brainpower was auriers problem. In key areas he made bad decisions. Deluded as well if he thinks he can play at higher level. Maybe he wants to play at a club that plays at high altitude. South america or something.

Yeah. Leaves a bitter taste tbh

I think complaining about people complaining is the only way some of you can get off

Please quit terrorizing us with some of your opinions
I saw one in Tesco the other day. It was depressing to watch. Picking up items that they didn’t want to buy off the shelf, whilst crying “I hate it, I hate it” or “yuk, yuk, yuk”. Then slamming it back down whilst muttering to themselves how happy they are & why can’t people just be as happy as them.
For the life of me I don’t know why they just don’t go in & buy what they like, & pay no attention to the stuff they don’t like.
Each to their own!
