Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Had to take my son for a specialist appointment in London so had to miss the game. Just checking in. Looks like queuing in a stuffy hospital was more fun than being at the game. An alternative view could be that, having been at every victory so far this season, am I our lucky charm?

:mourweird:
Hope your son's ok.

I agree it's not been pretty to watch but Nuno is trying to get the defence working and is picking midfielders to help us keep clean sheets and not conceding the ridiculous amount of goals that we conceded last season.
I'm giving him time and am not expecting scintillating displays...until at least next month.
Good points. Once Kane has some full games behind him, Son comes back off injury, and the international players return then we can see whether the talk about Nuno being able to adapt to a more aggressive style of play is true or not. Human nature is we are who we are and we stick to the things we do comfortably and well. If that's the case I think with a complete lineup he'll still be trying to turn Spurs into the Tottenham Wolves. But he has done some good things stabilizing the defense and if he combines that with opening things up it is possible the season will still go well. We'll know soon enough.

I thought Hugo should have saved the second but maybe unsighted
I think he should've saved Edouard's 2nd (Palace's 3rd). Maybe not saved it but done better i.e came out and made himself big. As he should not expect himself to be able to react quicjly enough to palm Edouard's actual shot over the bar.

The 2nd goal (Edouard's 1st) not really his fault. He's at full stretch and its just very precise.

Ally Gold made a good point in his YT video.

Nuno's attitude in his presser on Friday was poor
His attitude in the game was poor
The lineup was poor

That poor attitude/mentality clearly flew through the team and probably contributed to that performance.

I’m just watching that video now, and I also thought the same when he said that.

So you think Moss was good this game?
He’s never good

I imagine him being married to a woman considerably taller and heavier than him who gives him hell

Fat little cunt imv but he wasn’t to blame for that performance yesterday

It's kind of ironic that those posters who were citing caution after three wins on the bounce, are the self same posters losing their shit after our first loss.

Having said that, I do have my concerns here. Too often we've seen players and managers talk the talk, then fail miserably to walk the walk.

Yesterday was a shitshow. We can caveat to a certain extent due to missing half the first team, but that doesn't excuse the lack of bravery shown by firstly the manager, and secondly by the majority of the players.

Win, lose or draw, I hope we show more courage against Chelsea. I do expect some pragmatism in the game as, for me, they are Champions elect, but we have Footballers in the team that will at least make them think about defensive work rather than just all out attack.

I can live with losing the game as long as we make their keeper earn his week's wages

Oh I’ve got nothing against the bloke at all & hope that he turns it around . He’s onto a hiding regardless . Just another scapegoat

Thinking more about this match vs our others.

interestingly (and I don’t think this is a good thing) a lot of our attacking chances on the first 3 came out of intelligent passes from Dier and Sanchez (I can’t believe I just wrote that sentence).

I wonder if having neither of them (nor Romero who also makes that type of pass from the back) also blunted some of the attack. That said, we absolutely shouldn’t be reliant on that to start the attack, just something that seemed a bit different in this one.
