Ex-Spurs Player Harry Kane

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

A few weeks ago I got loads of disagrees when I suggested we should sell Kane to City for £120 million. Bet I wouldn't get as many if I suggested it tonight.

Yeah, I got the same "X" treatment.

Peak value, aging body (esp. given natural lack of pace and dodgy ankles), desperately wants away, attitude in the shitter. For someone who's so allegedly good at business, Levy has seemed to master failing to sell high.

Selling Kane for 120m is a stupid idea especially when we would only bring crap back with the money.

We had zero players from the summer in our starting 11 today, what makes you think the morons running our team would have done anything better with the 120m than they did with the money they wasted already?

Penalties usually bail kane out every three games or so... but he's had 0 penalties this year.

I can guarantee you that if kane had scored a couple penalties this season but had performed atrociously in open play like he has, the english pundits and fanboys would still be drooling over him saying "tHaT's JuSt KaNe BeInG KaNeeEEe. WhAt a WoRlD CLaSs GoAL ScoReRr!"

I don't understand this Five. Are they suggesting that a surprise tactical wrinkle that was successful for a few weeks before it was easily bottled up shouldn't be our overall tactical approach for 2 complete seasons? Are higher ups thinking we should have addressed this issue with personnel and training this summer? I'm not sure I understand because Harry's great and a future #10. Can you explain this all to me?

What happened to Harry's elite passing/creativity/playmaking ability that the fanboys and English pundits were drooling over? lol

Such a joke

Wait until they find out it is killing England, too.

Yes. With the benefit of hindsight, it looks very much like Levy made the mistake of focusing too much on being the clever git ("I've got Kane over a barrel") and not nearly enough on the cold realities of doing a good deal.

Not quite as good as he thinks he is, is he? Danny Delboy.

All my favourite #10's in history are famous for a lack of mobility and inability to play in tight spaces (insert falling over 1000 times and looking hopefully at referee).

Harry will nail it. Iniesta has nothing on him. Striker till he's 30 then #10 till the age of 40 where he can start playing in the NFL.

Only thing worse than Nuno's management is poisoned ex-Spurs fans who believe the Spurs-hating media and have turned on Kane.

I wish they would leave to join Crystal Palace where they belong!

In fairness England's other striker options aren't exactly inspiring. Mostly middling players like Ings or Bamford. He is by far the best option the country has as an out an out striker, whenever he actually decides that's his position again and he stops dropping in to central midfield.

That's what people say, but I look at all the things Harry Kane can't give you, and then I think any guy who can run (and perhaps jump, too) would be a viable alternative, and allow England to play with more intensity (with and against the ball).

There seems to be more coming in England's MF so him dropping/clogging the area will be less appreciated going forward.
