It's weird, but it's also Conte who is only ever on a one-year contract no matter what the piece of paper says, so I'm not going to waste my time worrying about it.
Seems to be the norm now for managers to join club with big risk mid season. The half season to settle. The one full season to go for it. If not working as expected, walk out. The manager doesn't want to risk their reputation to stick around while being lied about, while seeing their effort undoing.
3 center backs! We know Conte prefers 3 at the back which requires extra CB as back up, but if this is to be believed, it pretty much confirms his opinion on our CBs option (beside Romero).

chiesa looks a real good player, cant see why he would leave juventus for us.
I have some friends who support Juventus. They told me Allegri for some unknown reasons is not warm to Chiesa. If Juventus continues to struggle and miss out on CL, which would further cripple them financially, they would have to start selling to cover their loss, especially player that is not liked by the manager.
Not saying it's gonna happen (having Levy as chairman), but there is always a small possibility.

This article puts it at 205,000,000 Pounds - I’d be shocked if ENIC really spent that (without selling players).
More importantly, they name 4 targets:
- Dusan Vlahovic
- Stefan De Vrij (!!!)
- Marcelo Brozovic
-Alessio Romangnoli
(Also the source for ESPN is actually Calciomercato, an article in Italian, so make of it what you will).
I know not to get my hopes up too much, but DeVrij would really transform our D. Along with Romero, we could have a great back 3 with either Tanganga, Sanchez, Dier, or Romangnoli in there.
Brozovic could orchestrate from the MF like hr does at Inter (though would be interesting to see if or how he and PEH would fit together).
Lastly, vlahovic would be that striker we’ve been waiting for. I assume Kane/Son would still start up from in a 3-5-2, but Vlahovic on the squad would mean if Kane doesn’t get his arse moving again before January, there would be a credible threat to bench him.
Anyway, I know we won’t land these 4 guys, but sure is nice to have some optimism again after a couple months of miserable drudgery.
Would obviously be a good thing, but that's just speculation, surely?

We're definitely going to need another CB if he's planning on using that back three formation. We actually do have a couple of options already if you consider Davinson, Rodon, and Tanganga as decent backups but Dier being in our 'strongest XI' and us being one Romero injury away from a crisis is a scary thought.
That’s the negative, well kinda a negative cos he ain’t going to turn the current squad around in 18months no way unless they’re both unsure of each other …..more so conte about Levy than other way round though but hopefully it works by hook or by crook it fucking works.Conte’s average length of contract that he has served is 1.2 years. He has signed for 1.5 years .
