Energy isnt going to be the problem, its the capacity of the electrical grid that will be problematic. Imagine everyone wanting to plug in these chargers all at the same time. The delivery system is not build to deliver that much juice like that even if we assume thst much energy can be made available.

I did a summers apprenticeship for a building firm before I decided fuck that and got an office job, they asked me to go down to the van from the top of a block of flats and fetch a glass hammer and skirting board ladder.

It won't suddenly happen over night so relax.
2030 is just when manufacturers can't sell brand new petrol or diesel engine cars. People will still be able to drive their existing cars for an undetermined amount of time.
That means that a) there's 8+ years to get the network up scratch and b) there won't be an unmanageable demand on day 1 anyway.
By the time 2030 arrives, expect to see filling stations adding solar arrays and other such devices so they have various additional ways of providing electric. There are more and more offshore windfarms as well as on shore ones and hydroelectric facilities. The gas turbines are getting more and more efficient and there is always option to one day have more nuclear power if the stigma can be overcome.
I suspect a lot of EV owners will begin to fit their own solar panels anyway as they get cheaper and more efficient. By the time 2030 arrives the technology will have evolved a lot. All in terms of batteries, solar, charging speed, grid capability etc.
I expect he wakes up every morning and says “I can’t believe it. Tottenham fucking Hotspur!”.
