I'd like to believe that even the bum fluff faced younger me would cotton on to the idea of tartan paint being a wind up.Did they then send you back for a long weight and some tartan paint?
(*I got stung with the former on work experience............ Left me stood for like 15minutes while they fucked off and did something else.)
It was when he was at Henley
I fell for the right handed hacksaw and then a box of sparks!Got told on my first day on a painting firm as a 16 year old to go out and buy a long weight and a straight S hook.....
...i was gone a while!....![]()
Winks has a very punchable face.
You should see him play football
And where does the energy come from to charge these thousands of electric cars.?
Agreed. My chelsea brother in law said “Jesus could manage you, and you still wouldn’t win a trophy “
Can’t wait to stuff that comment down his face, with an Italian smile![]()
We mean different things I think. You, I think, are talking about the amount of electricity. I’m talking about how much the cables in the network can carry. In the UK at least, it isn’t built to deliver the amount of electricity now being thought about. Every car trying to draw 7kW or even up to 145kW with some rapid chargers, not currently typical at home but I imagine bigger chargers will become more normal everywhere) So even if we had infinite electricity production the problem will be that we can’t get enough of it to peoples homes /cars using the existing network.Thats what i meant. America is only running at 2% surplus in the electricity department. Add in 10 million cars to be plugged into that grid
Yeah like i said the problem isnt generating electricity. Its the delivery network, which we cannot upgrade by 2030, we wont get even close. On site solar will help but it wont be enough to meet the high demand required. It won't suddenly happen over night so relax.
2030 is just when manufacturers can't sell brand new petrol or diesel engine cars. People will still be able to drive their existing cars for an undetermined amount of time.
That means that a) there's 8+ years to get the network up scratch and b) there won't be an unmanageable demand on day 1 anyway.
By the time 2030 arrives, expect to see filling stations adding solar arrays and other such devices so they have various additional ways of providing electric. There are more and more offshore windfarms as well as on shore ones and hydroelectric facilities. The gas turbines are getting more and more efficient and there is always option to one day have more nuclear power if the stigma can be overcome.
I suspect a lot of EV owners will begin to fit their own solar panels anyway as they get cheaper and more efficient. By the time 2030 arrives the technology will have evolved a lot. All in terms of batteries, solar, charging speed, grid capability etc.
What do you mean about the long weight? Who's got it?I'd like to believe that even the bum fluff faced younger me would cotton on to the idea of tartan paint being a wind up.
I would have defo fallen for the long weight though....
Move towards making 3 phase a standard in homes. We mean different things I think. You, I think, are talking about the amount of electricity. Definitely, first 30 minutes is as good as we've played for 2 years. It went tits up after that but can't expect miracles in a day or 2.Seen enough of his ideas in the first half to know that if we give him control of the club he will be immense
