Manager Antonio Conte

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Availability. Disponibilità in Italian. Must some direct translation whereby, even though it makes sense in Italian, in English it's a head-scratcher.
My take was that he was saying availability. In other words making themselves (their minds and bodies) available to all of his methods and information. Or making themselves open to him.

I was wacthing the presser earlier thinking wtaf is this guy doing at our club, in our colours, still can't believe this guy is our manager :D

Don’t think it’s availability, doesn’t make sense in the context of anything he said.
That's my point, isn't it. Sometimes the word 'ability' fits, sometimes 'availability' and sometimes neither. That's why Evelebty is my...

It's no big deal. If you've watched all of his pressers, as I have, you'll know exactly what he thinks - PLUS you'll have a brand new mystery word to enjoy.

When Conte arrived at Inter:

The former Chelsea manager has projected his personality – restless, determined, confrontational – onto a team that was previously characterised by its penchant for the unpredictable, a trait that earned the nickname ‘Pazza Inter’ (Crazy Inter).

The coach made it clear that he knows what he wants, and he won’t settle for anything less – be that from his players, or the club hierarchy.

Conte quickly identified the bad eggs in the squad, Mauro Icardi and Radja Nainggolan, and got rid of them.

Inter quickly adapted to his 3-5-2 formation, having previously played 4-3-3.

Something was bugging Conte, though. Despite spending more than €150m in the summer, he was unhappy with the squad depth…..

“Apart from Godin, these players haven’t won anything and lack experience,” he said.

“We have too limited a squad to face both Serie A and Champions League football.”

Conte identified his side’s weaknesses – unconvincing wing-back options, a lack of experience and the absence of a creative presence in midfield – and the Inter hierarchy delivered the goods.

God knows why he joined us. Maybe Paratici.

It's very surreal. The last time I felt like this was probably when Klinsmann signed for us. Someone at the very top of their game who has the pick of any club on the planet.

I guess the Prem is the place to be right now, what with La Liga in a bit of a crisis and without their two talisman players.

United's loss is our gain. 👍

While I think he is at this moment a much superior coach, let's not pretend he's any more famous, more accomplished, or less in line with the Tottenham ethos than Mourinho was when he arrived.

That was of course a very destabilizing moment after the shock(ish) sacking of Poch, whereas this feels like we're way overdue for getting back underway after being lost in the wilderness since sacking Jose, but we're a big club with big players that deserves a big manager.
