Manager Antonio Conte

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

True, but Mason in Levy’s ear means Dele and Winks wasting squad numbers
Everyone deserves another crack under a proper manager. I trust him to make decisions that are best for the FC

Dele has some strengths as well as some glaring weaknesses. If he wants a player to do all his work off the ball and join the front 2 repeatedly, he has a chance. He won’t want him anywhere near midfield, flapping about on the ball trying flicks etc

It’s probably just how Conte speaks but I always get the feeling that he thinks our squad is extremely unfit & are pretty clueless , tactics-wise.

Yes I think the first few days has been a massive eye opener. This squad is toxic and full of under performers, they’ve taken the piss out of 3 coaches, I’d be amazed if Conte tolerated it. And if he does we’re finished as a club.

Possibly reinforced by what the advance guard (Paratici etc) have told him? He's definitely a driven individual, with a plan and the determination to realise it, but all elite managers have those qualities. What I really admire are his passion, his sense of humour, his ready smile and the fact that he wears his heart on his sleeve. Currently living a dream of things to come.

Lol at these people who think Conte is gonna be swayed by Mason.

If Winks, Dele, etc are as shit as you say they are - in which case Conte, who probably knows the same if not more about football than some of the prolific posters on here, will agree and they'll be shipped. No amount of 'But...fwiends' from Mason is gonna change his mind.

Nah mate the squad need a full scale strip down.
I for one won’t be supporting Levy if he wants to give everyone another chance.

Conte needs full backing

It's so refreshing at the moment. Since Poch left we've had Jose and Nuno who the fan base were so split on from the moment they arrived that there was always doubt we were seeing the best of our squad.

The great news is now any player facing the chop there is no doubt. It isn't a manager past his best making this decision, or a manager not up to the task, it will be one of the very best managers in the world and the general public just can't argue with his decisions.

Starting team will be really interesting in next few weeks.

After the disaster appointments of Mourinho and Nuno, Levy would have to have a couple of screws loose to involve himself with footballing decisions now Antonio is in charge. I can't see the latter doing anything that he didn't want to do.
If he's given the time and resources, I will be mightily surprised and disappointed if he doesn't succeed. If he doesn't, then I have no idea where we go next!

I loved poch but i feel conte is a slight upgrade. Hopefully not another false dawn but feel were in for a golden era providing theres no bullshit antics by levy. Top 4 is achievable this season with carabao and europa conference in the cabinet.
Levy not doing his usual that is quite the caveat. What is it they say about Leopards and spots

You can lead a leopard with spots to water but you can’t make it drink

i think that’s it

I don't think giving players another chance is Levy's decision to make, surely that's between Conte and Paratici. Levy only gets involved when valuations are being discussed.
Doesn’t matter to me who’s choice it is.
It will be the 3rd manager in 2 years who can’t see that the likes Dele and Winks and Davies and Dier have no place in this squad anymore.

It’s Conte that walked out of talks in the summer over the difference on opinions in what be needed to make this work. He’s said it himself yesterday how much work there needs to be done and I doubt very much he means getting the cones out for Sanchez.

It’s nice that people will be ok with not signing anyone so Conte can work his miracles on this rabble of shit, but for me, for once we need to spend massively.

So if he prices everyone massively over the odds he is involved, as they stay
Yes, I don't think he's got a habit of doing that though and has sold plenty of players over the years, he must know that Winks won't have a large value and he'll probably lose money from GLC.

Both Winks and Dele combined cost about fuck all, so if he sells them both for £15mil he's made a profit.

As I say, GLC is a different situation, Levy might just have to take a loss on him, Doherty and Davies can get to fuck another £15m for the pair of them.

He might get what he paid for. for Steven Bergwijn, I don't see Dier going anywhere just now but he's another low cost sale when the time comes.

I don't know about Lucas but I'd like him to stay. PEH value is probably the same as what was paid.

This Spurs squad have cruised along for far too long now. So it’s about time a manager came in and really ruffled some feathers.

The big question is whether these Spurs players can adapt. It’s well known they sulked under Mourinho and Santo, while some even got fed up of the Pochettino era. The focus, surely, has to be on the Spurs players here.

Antonio Conte will do all he can in training to help Tottenham. But it’s vital the players buy into his ways. Otherwise, the club will be back to square one in no time.
