Manager Antonio Conte

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Doesn’t matter to me who’s choice it is.
It will be the 3rd manager in 2 years who can’t see that the likes Dele and Winks and Davies and Dier have no place in this squad anymore.

It’s Conte that walked out of talks in the summer over the difference on opinions in what be needed to make this work. He’s said it himself yesterday how much work there needs to be done and I doubt very much he means getting the cones out for Sanchez.

It’s nice that people will be ok with not signing anyone so Conte can work his miracles on this rabble of shit, but for me, for once we need to spend massively.
Mason didn't have a chance to buy or sell so he can't be counted as a manager that didn't shift players, Jose apparently told Levy he could work with the current squad to reach whatever goals they had discussed. There was no transfer market opening for Nuno, he was appointed late in the summer.

So since Poch who wasn't properly backed by Levy with transfers, Conte is taking over from Poch's notion and Levy has promised him a fairly large transfer budget in January with the outlook to also sell for additional funds.

Nah mate the squad need a full scale strip down.
I for one won’t be supporting Levy if he wants to give everyone another chance.

Conte needs full backing
Everyone will be getting another chance until the transfer window opens.
This is a big few weeks for some of our “stars” because Levy has to make funds available for Conte (& if some of those funds have to come from player sales, good!)
If Levy tries his usual trick of overpricing sales & underfunding for number one targets, then I see Conte walking out. He won’t be accepting any N’Koudou type alternative.
And if that happens, Levy has fucked it beyond repair. Even the staunchest, most pro ENIC supporters will surely see it as the final straw.
Teflon Dan is skating on very thin ice now and he knows it.

But Mason did however bring Dele and Winks back into the fold.

It really sounds like people will be ok with the “squad being good enough” this January, I won’t.

At least 6 players need to be shown the door instantly.
I’m not interested to see if Conte can find the Cafu in Doherty or spending another 8 months trying to find Deles best position while looking at his new six pack/hair do/tattoo
His best position is somewhere in Newcastle.

Winks will never be what we need, Davies and Dier have peaked and are literally Wolves level players.

I’m not sure I can believe what I’m reading, but again, not for me.
New signings or Levy can literally go fuck himself.

We have no choice until January but there seems to be a wave of naivety mixed in with the optimism sweeping over the club.

No everyone does not deserve another……another……another……another…….chance.

How many chances does Davies get to show he’s not good enough.
Reggie as much I don’t rate him, deserves a chance to work under Conte.
Davies needs replacing.

Ndombele I’d like to see work under Conte, whether he deserves the chance is questionable, but one things for sure, getting the best out of him will never, ever give Winks a place in our midfield.
There is no point in giving Winks another chance. Skipp yes.

We have Romero and Rodon. They deserve time. Dier and Sanchez do not.
I’d rather invest in Bergwijn than Dele, but I’d happily replace both with Adama

So no, not everyone needs to be here after January.

I don't think anyone is suggesting 'keep the same players, make no transfers'.

But since we have Winks et al at least until January, if Conte wants to try and improve them, so be it.

It's not just about buying and selling but if he can get an extra 10% out of our fringe players and make them useful then why not, why not see if Winks can surpass PEH etc etc.... that's what Conte's job is, it's not to just ignore those players because they have been shit in the past.

Not for me, but hope you enjoy Winks revival for ten weeks
