Arteta "dismisses" rumours linking him with the Barcelona job.
Maybe notWoolwich have provided us with a lot of laughs in recent years but sadly they're in a much better place than we are right now. The genuinely have some good to brilliant young players in Smith Rowe, Saka, Odegaard, Ramsdale, Martinelli, Lokonga and Tavares.
Gooners are way to obsessed with Sp**s, almost as cringy as <removed>s pre match chanting…….I do feel was as Woolwich supporters give Sp**s far to much attention. At games; a significant portion of our chants reference them, it's a bit embarassing to be honest. It's all over social media as well. Gooners claim Woolwich are such a bigger club than Sp**s (we are), yet a load of us can't ever seem to keep them out of our mouths, it makes them relevant.
This isn't in relation to the Conte news btw, that is something worth discussing, just more of an overarching observation.
Their, what do you think of Tottenham one is the best, it's not even a chant, it relies on one 16yr old kid whose voice is still breaking to lead it, which means absolutely no one, including themselves can, in reality hear it. Those that are sat within 2 seats around him, so no more than 8 other squeaky-voiced pups then reply with "shit", by which time the other 47 people around them join in with "we hate Tottenham".
I cannot laugh at them today. They won.
I thought there was a foul on a Watford player as well, before the shot on goal. From BBC Sport:
Watford manager Claudio Ranieri accused Woolwich's players of showing a lack of respect as the Gunners claimed a narrow victory in manager Mikel Arteta's 100th match in charge.
The in-form Emile Smith Rowe scored in a third successive Premier League game, sending Woolwich up to fifth in the table with a low drive from outside the box after 56 minutes.
However, prior to the goal Watford had put the ball out of play due to an injury and the hosts chose not to return possession from the resulting throw-in.
Class is permanent
Arteta had a slow start, but they are now saying his figures are better than Wengers.Woolwich have provided us with a lot of laughs in recent years but sadly they're in a much better place than we are right now. The genuinely have some good to brilliant young players in Smith Rowe, Saka, Odegaard, Ramsdale, Martinelli, Lokonga and Tavares.
100%Just a quick word on these cunts, because you will hear a few insufferable gooners start piping up...
They have played against 5 teams in the top half of the table, winning one. That was against a woeful Spurs under Nuno.
They got battered by Man City and Chelsea. They got played off the park by Palace and scraped a draw in the last minute. They got played off the park by Brighton and got a 0-0 because Brighton couldn't finish.
They have been on a nice little run, 8 unbeaten in the league, winning 6. But look a bit closer, they have 1-0 wins against Burnley, Watford and Norwich, 3 of the worst teams in the division. They beat Villa 3-1, who are that bad at the minute that even Nuno's Spurs looked half-decent and beat them. The only result of real note was the away win at Leicester, but even Leicester are a bit out of sorts at the moment.
3 of the next 4 league games for Woolwich are away: Liverpool (a), Newcastle (h), Man Utd (a), Everton (a).
I can guarantee that after that little run, we will go above them in the league and all their melt fans will be "Arteta out! Why didn't we get Conte?!"
Just you watch...
Faith been repaid brilliant struggled over a few mid to lower teams through a massive amount of luckShhh.... Apparently we should be respectful of them because they won yesterday.
