A 3-4-3 doesn’t work for us because we have no RW and a front 3 is terrible for Kane and to a lesser extent Son.

If we stick with that formation then it doesn’t really matter who we have in MF as it won’t work anyways.
We have to try something tho…. Perhaps Ndom can play to the right of the front 3. We have to be open minded and try new things

I appreciate that, but our own fans are hyping the hell out of him. Struggling to see how he'd solve our lack of creativity.

He is an upgrade on PEH so if we brought him in to fill that role then we are better, especially going forward.

But if he is brought in to play alongside PEH and/or Skipp then that is likely going to be a problem.

We should try the 3-5-2 that Conte prefers and fits us.
Agree, it worked perfectly yesterday and our inform strike duo are looking devastating in a pair…. Converting all the chances that our impeccable DM’s of Skipp and PEH create. And Moura is definitely flourishing this season, his goals, assists and through balls are world class. We simply can’t improve on his attacking return so must stick with the 352

What?
We have started off with 3-4-3, Igula Igula is calling for a change to 3-5-2.

Implies Son pushed up alongside Kane and the Lucas role moved centrally as a 10 (Ndombele?)

I think the big question is then whether this remains a 5-4-1 out of posession?

The narrow back 5 did a pretty good job of neutralizing Everton yesterday, their fullbacks got no joy.

because we strictly play that exact system for the entire 90 minutes. Really?

With the exception of the centre backs the "formation" is there for the commentators to make sense of it. It's nothing more than a baseline that the team responds to during the game.

Unless thinktank thinktank is picking the lineup that is.

It’s been a 3-4-3 though. Lucas has been wide right and son wide left. Sure they make occasional runs to the center but neither has been operating as a central mid.

?

We didn’t play in a 3-5-2 yesterday.

You are supporting my point.

Thank god… our wingers are atrocious (besides son who I almost think is a better striker at this point) and we need to maximize ndombeles ability if we keep him.

Except we did stay in that shape for the majority of the game.

And the issue is using a winger like Lucas over better players like Ndombele or Lo Celso who would be in if we played 3-5-2.

I guess it is what we have to do for now although still not ideal.

Play the ball as you find it. I think Conte has no option other than to play a system that fits the players we have. Good or bad doesn't really come into it.

Compete. Don't lose the ball. Work the pitch and target the areas that you've been assigned in training. Repeat. Repeat. Repeat.

Some will fall and we know most of them but some will rise I hope. Do it again. and again. again.

It takes time but I see an immediate turn around in a week because of mentality.

A fox in the box to give Kane a reminder, a left wing back and a box to box midfielder just to keep me on thread and we are pretty much there.
