No coach can claim that and start Wanks in the final ahead of Ndombele and Bale

Moura was our highest rated player in that game - so starting him ahead of Bale was effective in keeping the score 0-0. Bale came on in his place in the 67th minute and had plenty of time to impact the game.

Ndombele wasn't motivated and had told the club he wanted to leave.

Winks didn't have a bad game. Had the most touches of any of our players outside of the CBs.

We were in poor form, and poor morale having just lost our head coach. We were not going into the game with any confidence and the tactic was to make it hard for City and to nick a late goal on the break.

Losing 1-0 in a Cup Final to the League Champions and Champions League finalists is hardly damning.

We had 2 shots against their 21. We were appalling. If you have the team play like cowards in a cup final leaving your creativity and big game players on the bench then 95% of the time you reap your just rewards.

Even for you this is absolute nonsense. All this shows if we are to believe the ratings are that he wasn’t as shit as everyone else. What has Moura’s rating got to do with us keeping the score at 0-0? Was he playing in goal?

Don’t bother. Using reason with him is entirely pointless.

Why is this being repeated? Bale isn't a central midfielder. Winks playing had nothing to do with Bale playing or not.
Why are you repeating this dumb argument. It makes you look stupid. Any coach who cant incorporate Bale in a team instead of Winks is not fit to be a manager ever in his life.

And the fact that he had been around the club to see how shit Winks has become was just the worst and obvious nepotism. Surprise surprise, winks is still shit and the next manager also didnt want him around but somehow the great Mason felt winks who hadnt played much at all before the final would be the difference.

Hilarious coming from you.

Bale is a winger .. if he's being brought in its for Lucas or Bergwijn. Bale has fuck all to do with the equation unless you play him as a 10 vs Man City, in which case good fucking luck. Winks was played ahead of other central midfield options, not Bale. Then Bale was brought on relatively early in the game, and we lost it with him on the pitch.

You and the rest of the Mason hate brigade are so relentlessly dull. Still banging on about one decision a manager who was here a week made in a final. Get the fuck over it and move on. Guy was managing his first game in football on ridiculously short notice at the age of 29, and he went with some familiarity and a more cautious midfield vs arguably the best side in football.

Career over. Let's mock/attack Mason as much as possible and not just be pleased he's in the coaching staff. Bang on about him not starting Bale in one game rather than the fact he got far more out of the man overall than the 15m a year manager did.

Complete nonsense as usual. Well done.

Repeating the same shite over and over again doesnt mean playing one of our worst players in the centre of midfield against one of the best teams in the league in a cup final is a good idea.

All you do is spout myopic views based on a dislike of certain players. I don't like Winks and Mason played Winks so Mason bad!

I didn't say it was a 'good idea', I said it was a move I can understand from a hugely inexperienced coach. The way you bang on you'd think Winks had a 2/10 game and Bale had 30 goals a season and was starting every game under Jose.

Under Mason there were positives and negatives. Which is promising considering his age. But yeah, let's just focus on he started Winks over and over and over and over. Fucking relentlessly dull.

A 10 year old watching spurs every week wouldnt have made that mistake. So its really not that promising. He could be a decent coach for kids . He can teach them what he has learnt. But there is no promise as a manager because the decision making was terrible.

Heights

This is a team we’ve beaten 3 times in 18 months
People think since the scoreline was 1-0 that means it was a close game. Completely forget about what actually happened in the game.

We had 2 shots all match , both from outside the box and one by toby which (expectedly) went way wide .

They had 21 shots. From a couple of them Lloris made God-like saves. Some got blocked by last ditch defending near the goalline and also Sterling/Gundogan not being able to finish didnt help them a few times.

It wasnt a close game at all. It was just about waiting for them to kill us and in 90 minutes it was always going to happen.

Exactly

Same people saying we had zero chance and weren’t near them in order to defend a certain player, then saying how close it was to defend Mason
