The thing I struggle with in regards to the lower of the two figures is that that would in turn suggest some blatant high earners like Greazman & Suarez to have been on indefeasibly low wages when you look at those pre-paycut numbers (as you'd have to half them too if the dependency is a matter of tax).

If Levy is prepared to gamble, not his strength, that our income will rebound to >500m this year, then spending 200m and adding 500k a week to salaries is certainly financially possible, we will see.

FYI - If Todd Kline can pull in deals, especially a naming rights deal, then all bets are off. 200m could easily become 400m .... wouldn't that be something.

Yeah, but it won't be a lump sum. If it's 400m over 10 years, that's 40m per year. My guess is it'll probably be a 300m 10-year deal. But even 30m extra a year is still a boost. That's four 150K/wk salaries that it'll finance.

May be a mix of gross and net as they would source from multiple and may get confused... Can't see de Jong being comparable to Greizman but it is Baca

Cash flow isn’t an issue - you can still spend the committed revenue, it offsets itself. Fallback is you borrow against it and have 400m upfront
 
Did anybody watch the Sporting vs Dortmund game? I'm once again going to recommend we try and sign Pedro Gonçalves. He is a goalscoring RW that connects with the midfield that we desperately need, and Sporting play the same 3-4-3 formation that Conte plays. Would be a great Lucas replacement in our system
