Depends whether it’s growing pains from a 17-22 year old or a proper crock aged 21-30

Agree tho
Personally, I think players that play too much as teenagers, especially rapid ones, will all ne screwed by the time they hit their mid twenties.
Thinking the likes of Lennon, Owen, Dembele, Walcott etc. They all seem to get more and more injuries whilst other players hit their prime.

He is also a racist prick, which seems to be swept under the rug for some reason.
Didn't hear that, heard a lot about him being an arsehole though.

We've already spent a fucking fortune on a talented player with a brutal attitude.

For all the crying being done about the links with Traore continuing, he is settled in the Premier League, regularly fit, fast, powerful, skillful and adaptable and I have no doubt that if Conte told him to jump, he'd ask how high...and cheap, which is ENIC all over.

He's one of the best dribblers in the league and the stats reflect that. His ball control is excellent, so he's not just pace and muscles, and the fundamentals of a technically gifted player are all there. He was trained in La Masia ffa, he's not just a kick and run player.

His issues are he can't shoot for shit and he makes terrible decisions, but technically he's otherwise very good.

Thats quite important. In fact thats everything in football. And exactly why he plays for wolves and not Barcelona.

Okay .. he still offers attributes outside pace and strength. He was very useful for Wolves in 19/20, pretty productive and outside of goals + assists also tore a number of teams apart. Nobody is saying he's elite/world class, but he offers teams a certain dynamic.

Moussa Dembele couldn't shoot for shit and regularly made shit decisions until a coach picked him up and utilised his brilliant dribbling/physical attributes in a correct role. He started out as a striker, then an AM, then ended up at CM.

Wouldn't be at all surprised if Adama was picked up by a world class coach and utilised as a wing back for example. He has qualities that no other player in world football possesses, but flaws which write him off from being a modern inside forward.

If it were a jumping contest that decided football games that would be awesome, unfortunately if Conte asks him to pass or shoot he is unable to respond by doing those things no matter how much baby oil he has rubbed on his arms.

Please God! :contepray:

Please God no. Just no.

Getting him free would mean 40 million loss for nothing.
Permanently crooked, stays fit for 1 game in 5.

Unreliable and career in freefall.
I'd take him only on pay per play deal.
Otherwise we will swap Ndombele for winger Ndombele. Enough of that shit.

Let's take on players whose career is on a rise, not in irreversible decline.

I don't see how he works as wingback as he is incapable of moving the ball from the Wing to the box. Having him out wide would be a defenders dream because he would just run the ball out of bounds/past the end line or weakly giving it away.

Traore is at the level and kind of club he should be. At Wolves the few times he does something well is enough to forgive the 95% of the time he is useless. For a club that wants to compete they can't have players that offer nothing more often than not. We have had enough of those types of players and it has been a massive reason we have struggled.

I have changed my mind on wanting to sign Adama.

I still think his dribbling is very good, but under Conte's system I'd want him at RWB. But if we were to spend big money on upgrading Emerson, there are better options out there who are HG: Lamptey and Livramento.

They were saying during commentary of the wolves v pool game that his stats for goals and assists are utterly crap. FFS he doesn’t even make the wolves team most weeks and people on here are ready for over £40M be spent on a wolves sub. Defo swerve this one!

We need attacking players though. Not necessarily Adama but someone more dangerous needs to come in to complete our front 3.

We should be able to bring in a 30 mill attacker and still beef up the midfield.
Absolutely agreed. We need attacking players. And someone to play among front 3.

But such player should be able to score and assist. What we don't need is a player that has played 14 games and provided 0 assists and scored 0 goals. The same player that contributed 0+1 within 28 (!!!) rounds of EPL football last year.

Taking him would mean -
- we take him instead of someone else... You Know someone who can score or create
- we will take obligation of paying him decent wages for years
- also takes up foreign player spot

Would be colossal mistake to take him.

I assumed that ppl who advocated his signing in summer would be ashamed of such suggestion, but apparently some ppl have no shame... Or understanding of what decent forward should be able to do.

I'd be cool with him taking over from Moura, he's better at what he does. Gets teams upfield, opens space for teammates due to his runs, pressing him is a huge mistake. Defenders are scared shitless of him in a way they aren't of almost any other player.

30 mill is nothing in modern football, standard price for a squad player. I'm not saying he'd be my preference or we should rush out and get him, but if we were to pay 30 mill for him I'd be pretty happy. I do think with the right coaching/setup he could be productive, he had 13 goal contributions in 19/20 which isn't exceptional but could a top manager get that up to 20 or so?

One of those where if Conte sees a role for him and gives his approval, I'd be all for it.

Why would one focus his one prime season instead of more recent performances?

Would you rather judge Dele based on his 19/20 or even 18/19 season or his results now. Same goes for Josh King one spectacular season... Vs everything that followed.

Kind of funny looking back to Traore season 19/20 when during following season he literally scored 0 and assisted 1 across 28 EPL games. And he is on 0+0 after 14 rounds of this EPL season. That is shockingly poor. Nothing else how to frame it

I'm cool with Traore as both. He's played both roles in the past, and we need better squad players. Look at the other top clubs and what players they can bring in when they have injuries or need someone to change a game. Adama fits in to that category, him coming on is far more likely to be impactful than Bergwijn. Also rotates well in other competitions and will get starts.

If Bergwin leaves then we need another attacker regardless, right? We should absolutely have the ability to sign a few players, that's not FM it happens regularly!
We should upgrade on Bergwijn. Agreed.

But we should aim much higher than Traore.

He plays for Wolves and they're shit, work it out.
