I definitely think Kessie, whilst not being the next Marcus Senna, would be an upgrade on PEH, both as a 6 and as a footballer.

I think the system Milan/Pioli are using is asking a fuck of a lot of him, it's bit reminiscent of the Poch 4231 but with a CF that walks everywhere.

For what it's worth, I also like Bennacer. I think both would be upgrades on PEH.
👀

I think the next 6 months could be the time to try if we are genuinely interested..... While the other EPL cunts are caught up trying to sign Rice and Bellingham.
100% agree!

If you look at the current midfields of the top three none of them need him at the moment, although he would be an upgrade to liverpoo’s current options, if we could snap him up it would be the type of addition that pushes us to become potential contenders (with a few additions to other key areas). He is a fantastic football player, works hard and could play perfectly with Hojbjerg or Skipp.

Paratici get it done!!

HG... Good age (yet to hit prime).... PL proven... Used to a mega-graft manager.... Little adjustment required....

I'd take Wijnaldum on loan but why on earth would they loan him out in the first place, Wijnaldum was the one player that Poch requested to sign this summer

Cause your Mauricio is a bit shit on transfers.

Wijnaldum has been moaning in the press about being tired (as he obviously didn't understand Poch at Spurs, or read enough).

Avoid. Fresh legs wanted, not pre-wilted, we do that well enough ourselves.

Did a bit of digging to see why it's not working out for Wijnaldum.

PSG: Thierry Henry explains the difficulties of Georginio Wijnaldum

At the microphone of Prime Video Sport, the former French international Thierry Henry explained the difficult adaptation of the Dutchman, comparing him to other players transferred recently: “Saul Niguez knows that at the moment at Chelsea. I remember Fabinho who struggled to adjust to Klopp's structure at Liverpool. It took him six months. [...] He is not a bad player. You don't get bad in two months. I saw him play for the Netherlands, he's still good but he needs structure. A player like that needs to be structured. "

Wijnaldum asks for time

“The changes, the style of play ... In Liverpool, we were a team that was together for 5 years. We had our identity. It was different. The coach here prefers when we rotate. We are not always in the same position. In Liverpool, it was a bit like that, but now you have to get used to it, this is my first season. There are quite a few differences, but that doesn't change too much, ” assures the one who takes time before finding the right rate of fuel. According to the international Oranje, this is how the Reds ended up dominating their subject in the Champions League.

“In Liverpool, we played for years together. Even before we won the Champions League, we made a lot of progress and now at PSG, it looks a bit like my first season in Liverpool. We discover each other together. We get used to our teammates. It's difficult to compare these two teams because one had been together for 4 years, I believe, before winning, ” assumes the midfielder who must sometimes feel a little alone in the midst of all these Spanish speakers. “The most important thing is to know my teammates well. There isn't a single player I've played with before. (...) I have to get to know my teammates, know how they play, how they think. "

PSG: the South Americans did not really help Georginio Wijnaldum ...

There are also rumours about a South American clique in the PSG dressing room.

Everton boss Rafael Benitez dropped Lucas Digne, 28, for the win over Woolwich after a row and the France left-back could now be sold in January. (The Athletic - subscription required)

Wijnaldum would be our best midfielder if he hasn't majorly declined since Liverpool. Very good under pressure and works incredibly hard, not sure why it hasn't worked out at PSG but the club is a circus and it would appear the cliques are a big problem there. Similar story with Donnarumma I believe.

Doubt it's on at all, but if it is we should be all over it.

Got a decent goal return for Holland too - 26.

Yes .. he played a deep role for Liverpool where his role was to receive the ball, shield it and lay it off to teammates, as is the job of pretty much all of Liverpool's midfield 3. Be workmanlike, keep it simple, and get it out wide to Trent/Robertson.

For the Netherlands where he plays further up he has a good scoring record, and he did for Newcastle too where he played more advanced. He's capable of it, he just didn't need to do it at Liverpool due to their style of play.
