Transfers January 2022 - Transfer Window

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Some good suggestions above but for the summer (if at all).
This window IMO top priority is a CB and a creative MF in.
Rodon and Ndombele out.
If Traore is a viable option get him in and let Conte decide who goes.

Declan Rice would be the perfect addition to our squad, what sort of price would the Hammers demand? I also like the look of Jarrod Bowen as a creative force. Probably unlikely West Ham would sell given the positive nature of their season.
Been hoping we'd put in a bid for Rice for a few years, he's a great player IMO.

Sadly I don't think he'll ever wear our shirt.
He gave his West Ham shirt away to a Spurs fan recently!!

But I agree, He won't come here... I think he's nailed on for Chelsea unfortunately.

What position does Non-HG play...? Is he the new Korean signing that slipped under the radar???!

Rice is overrated. Same with JWP. Both midfielders hyped up because they are English but would go for way overinflated prices.

Nah, Rice is the real deal. A proper world class talent in his position who is improving every single season and has dominated numerous great midfields. Every single time I watch him lately I'm more and more impressed.

There are 100% overrated English talents (Mason bloody Mount) but the likes of him and Foden are actually gold dust. JWP isn't really overrated either, is he? Everyone knows he's just a decent midfielder who is wonderful at set pieces. Nothing more or less.

I really don't think he is y'know!
JWP maybe, he's a dead ball specialist, but not much else...

Rice & to a lesser extent Kalvin Phillips feel like the real deal.
Philips Is the one and he is more achievable than the others. Teilmans too. I think a three of Teilemans deep lying playmaker Skipp and Phillips is nigh on perfect Conte middle three. Then it's wingback an another forward

Tomiyasu cost £8m less than Emerson so clearly we didn't cheap out.
I highly suspect the Barcelona financial crisis firesale meant the terms of the deal very likely suited better.

Edit: Well imagine my surprise...

The move is initially said to have stalled over the structure of payments after a £17m fee was discussed.

Spurs were ideally looking to spread the payments over a series of instalments but Bologna would prefer the cash upfront.

Additionally, Royal was a 5 year deal, so longer to pay it off. Thrifty.

All a bit tense again in here this morning, so just to lighten the mood

Hitchen getting his hated January window off can only mean one thing, GOOD NEWS!!

Of course it's not over until the fat lady sings but the likelihood is EL non-HG players will not be an issue this season. But in theory we could sign 4 non-HG players eligible to play for us in domestic games.
