Given that, and that we have been crap at finding value buys, I'd rather we pay for proven quality, even if it means we only have the money to fix one or 2 positions per window. Better that than spread our budget too thinly and buy more mediocrity.

I think top priority should be a quality centre mid in the summer - Kalvin Phillips would do nicely. But the painful rebuild has a long way to go.

Fans not having it.

They don't even believe he's going to stay.

Even though he's come here and has said he's going to stay and build his own team + it will take time + everyone needs to be patient.

Can understand it, though.

Been so traumatised over the years, people just can't let themselves believe it. lol

He's got an 18 month contract, its not really a long term appointment and he's just not the sort of manager for a project. Its a 2 window gamble, now and the summer and if we dont back him he'll do the 18 months absolute maximum. If he's backed properly he may stay longer but i wouldnt be betting on it.
