It isn't the clubs fault. They had to move guys out first or else they would be stuck with a bloated squad but with so little time left in the window there isn't enough time to get the complicated deals done to bring in replacements.

Such a tough window to get anything done, the club is doing an amazing job try to navigate everything being specifically set up to screw Spurs. Outstanding job by them for sure.

Yeah that's valid but only if we have someone else lined up. If it was Tanguy or Dele I wouldn't mind, bit Bergwijn still has something to offer. If we let Bergwijn go and end up signing nobody we're fucking ourselves.

I am hopeful for a flood of outgoings this week.

If patch-it-up loans are what’s needed to keep us fighting for top 4 while we target major summer cornerstones, fine.

Julian Draxler on a six month loan in the Ndombele deal can give us what Bergwijn can.

We just have to make progress and advance the ball on the big picture squad overhaul, while maintaining a credible squad. We were a Vinicius short of that this summer.

Regarding Emerson: I remember that Spurs were after Tomiyasu for almost the entire transfer window...but then all of a sudden shifted to Emerson after Nuno joined Spurs. Just as you are speculating I am now bringing up another speculation....

Yes, there is doubt. Go ask Juventus fans what they think about Paratici and the state he left them in. And of course they've not been good since he left, they're saddled with all his shit or mediocre signings in the team with no money because their wages are fucking them over!

Yes, they are. But they were successful abroad. Paratici completely fucked over Juventus in many ways in an easier environment, but we expect him to be a success at Spurs based on what? A reputation that is out of date? At one point he was rated very highly, but not when he joined us.

We shifted to Emerson because he suddenly became available IIRC. I highly doubt we gave Nuno any power in the market, why would we? You saw how quickly he was sacked, this was not a manager who was given backing or respect by the club. He was there because we (at the time) couldn't get Conte.

The hard part about judging what he did at Juve is that the good stuff all came under Beppe Marotta, many of the big issues came after Beppe left to Inter and won the league with them.

I doubt that it was 100% Marotta and Paratici just crap the whole time and that he did some quality things, but looking at the two years he was at Juve without Marotta and the summer he just had there is so many red flags, and very few (if any) positives.
