Why Have we paid £15M on him then, just don’t get it. Complete waste!

Yeah... they look ok... but you can't put non-existent players on the subs bench. At least 4 gives us some cover. 2 gives us less room for injuries and rotation.
He’s at the training ground already, we may well see him.
I can’t remember an international break where this few players went away, should be a solid week of training.
Well we have another 3 transfer windows to put that right.

Good window especially if Dele goes for 40m quid (up to). Dele, Lo Celso and Ndombele out is good business.
A few thoughts….
1) The purge of players needed to happen. There’s absolutely an argument that it leaves us light of creativity in MF, but if Conte believes these players are surplus to requirements and / or not good for the dressing room, they have to go. We had a similar purge under Poch.
2) I think the transfer activity suggests Conte will prefer 343 for us. Shame as I think we (and Kane in particular) play better in a 352 but everything seems to point to a 2 man clogger CM to me.
3) If that’s the case, RWB is a huge issue and Conte has to consider deploying one of the more attacking options there. Royal cannot be the answer. It’s time to give Moura / Bergy a chance at least.
4) Paratici doesn’t appear to know much about football outside of Italy.
5) The notion that Levy would take the shackles off for Conte has been disproven. I still think we’ll have a busy summer, but reports of an agreed net spend were obviously wide of the mark.

Cheap option that can come in and do a job for Conte. I understand bringing him in as an individual player he adds to the team.
My bigger concern is how he fits in overall as we have 3 players that do the same thing and would play in the same position as him and nobody to add something different.
Individually it makes sense, but as an overall squad building move I don't see it, which is business as usual for Spurs.
