Transfers January 2022 - Transfer Window

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Why dues everyone keep banging on about Moses. He didn’t win the title for chavs a certain hazard had a lot to do with that plus a whole host of other expensive players. If Moses was that good where is he now. I want conte to do “a Moses” and turn our players like winks royal etc. while his at give young Harvey a game instead of the bloody players who stink out the places.
Was trying to be positive about our poor transfer window. Conte can turn the juve rejects in to world stars. I don’t believe it myself! I tried!

Once again the only club more excited & happy about the outgoings every window.
“Wage bill reduced” banners at our next game. “Fortnite dele dismissed” flags.
Balancing the books comes before exciting good signings joining at the lane. At least we are original & different I guess.

Doesn't matter, if our deals were good, mediocre or whatever. We fixed our squad a bit, added 2 guys that might work in place of ones that definitely didn't work, moved some deadwood and we are going to pay less in wages.
Meanwhile, Woolwich and ManU didn't do shit, they are much weaker through outgoings and signed no one. Like it or not, from all top 6 clubs we had the best TW.

Over the past 6 months, we've probably enquired about 50-100 players. So have each and every other club in the PL. It's what a DoF does...or is supposed to, at least.

But from enquiry to actually negotiating for a player, there's quite a few steps. Let's just hope we take those for Maehle and 3-4 other top quality players this summer.

Nothing stops Fabio from enquiring now, but it's what he does next that really matters.

Onwards and upwards. COYS

For me this was a good window. I’m not mad on Kulusevski or Bentancur from what I’ve seen of them at Juve but they are still young and obviously Conte sees something in them. Contes bread and butter is usually these type of signings, players who are hungry with a point to prove, we need more of that.

Freeing ourselves from the shackles of hoping Dele, Ndombele and Lo Celso come good is massive.

Won’t happen until Atalanta gets a new LWB.

He’s primarily played on the left while Gosens was injured, and Gosens has gone to Inter now.

But I’m all for it! He’s fantastic and absolutely tireless.

No new RWB this window hurts the most.

Have to hope that Doherty or Emerson catch a bit of form. Can't see any 3-4-3 or 3-5-2 being successful without it

serious amount of febreeze was sprayed in the dressing room regarding who we got rid of. nicely freshened up with a coupe players who maybe can improve the first 11-14

Anyone who thinks that trying to haggle 5 million off every deal has nothing to do with is loosing players we are chasing, needs their head read. The Traore saga has been coming on from day one of this window. If you go to a club and ask, "How much for Traore/Diaz" and they say 10 million plus 5 million.... Then you go to the agent and ask, "How much does Traore/Diaz want to come to Spurs?" The agent says ..... Then you go ok or sod off. We spent more than 3 weeks trying for Traore and a Week on Diaz. We low balled both. Barca came and offered more. Liverpool came and offered more. Still people think the haggling had nothing to do with us loosing out. Clubs sell to the highest price. Players generally go where conditions are best and they get payed the best. Be honest if You were a club selling a player, would you sell to Levy? If you a player who gets offered more by another club, would you go to Spurs?.

Our Diaz bid was accepted by all accounts so I'm not sure why you keep saying we lost out by £5m?

Th
We needed a CM...

This Fulham kid will be loaned back IF the deal even happens.
That’s fine but he isn’t gonna coat much. Yes we needed one but someone who actually looks worse than what we have and certainly is no baller? We needed a passer and of one is not avavilable them keep the keg dry and wait till summer. We have Harvey give him a chance ffs! Our managers have zero confidence in our youth and certainly conte who just wants ready made players. I’m not gonna carry on with all the other things he could…

A strange window overall. I would have liked more incomings (but didn't expect them). I have no idea whether the two who have come in will work out, or not.

But we've moved out the players who were not working under this manager and that has to be seen as a win. And if Lyon do take up that buy-back option at the end of the season, we've done amazingly well with that one.

If only we'd have been bolder with the incomings. But, no real surprise we weren't.
