Stadium Tottenham Hotspur Stadium

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

agree Zomb, he needs to do something to keep the money coming in, its not just the seat money its money that is spent on drink, Food and in the shop
trouble is with the football seen here last few years won't get the seats filled so if this this the football we will get he needs something else that will get the seats filled and maybe a Dortmond style Yellow wall could get the tourist fans into the ground and shop

I can't see why it will have an effect on pricing. The only thing that will is demand.

Also as someone pointed out upthread, the safe standing area has been a standing area the whole time the stadium has been open. Hasn't helped the situation yet.
For sure, but if it opens up properly after the trial you have to expect them to increase the numbers. It’s really just a seat ‘that you can stand in’ at the moment, right? If they are able to greatly increase capacity in the south stand because everyone has less space, it has to follow that those tickets have to be valued less as you are getting less.

I guess it all depends on how it is finally implemented. I can’t see a ‘young Spurs’ class being created in this modern game. Kind of feels like a zero sum conclusion doesn’t it…

I haven't seen anything at all to suggest that there's any plan to evolve safe standing to anything but having a seat that you don't have to sit in. As far as I know it will always be 1 person per seat, just on their feet. No chance of an increase in capacity.

Not sure that the borough would even entertain an increase of that size anyway. Imagine for example another 6 or 7 thousand people poiring out of the South Stand and onto the High Road/Park Lane at full time. The transport infrastructure already more than creaks and groans as it is.

Well it’s zero sum then. Slow decline of atmosphere as youth and traditional fan base are priced out.

I really can't foresee any alternate reality unfortunately.
I guess as fans retire their ST's at the age 60, 65, 70 etc the club suppose these will be taken up by the up and coming 40 & 45 year olds?

Good luck with that. Because I reckon unless you've got fans hooked early doors, people have lives by the time they get to being able to afford the prices being charged.

They'll get the younger ones in with 'experience' packages: concerts, NFL, Boxing, etc. I bet you within the next 5-10 years their will be leisure/gaming facilities at the stadium. Football will become one of many attractions.

I agree. With all the safety regulations now we're never going back to packed terracing again.

I went to the Norwich game before xmas, and myself and 2 others had a corporate on one of our's works tickets. At 13:55 we made our way up to watch the game, and a group of about half a dozen blokes were just starting their main meal.No interest in the football or Spurs what so ever.
This makes me sick. And it’s not just corporates - it’s everywhere. So many times I’ve stood behind people in the Park Lane more interested in their conversation about whatever than what’s happening on the pitch. I truly can’t understand it. I get these invitations to upgrade to premium, to enhance my match day experience with first class food and wine; at a bargain price of well over 200 quid! fucking hell, this is the antithesis of football! Maybe we should begin a new football team altogether; fuck these deceitful, manipulative, selfish cunts.
