Well then… looks like Hakimi might be available this summer.
I wonder if PSG would take Ndombele, Royal + money :contebored:

Spence apparently has some attitude issues which made him clash with the Boro squad and gaffer as well.Am I mistaken that Spence is on loan to Forest b/c he can't beat out Isaiah Jones (who's less than a year older than Spence) at Boro for 1st-choice RWB?
TBF, both Spence and Jones seem more like the type of player Conte has used at WB previously. There's nothing in it and I think spence is slightly better defensively (though neither are brilliant ) as I understand it Spence attitude was the deciding factor. For the record it would not put me off arrogance in a sports man is not bad of it self. Both are behind Lamptey for me but both are better for Conte than Doherty and Emerson.
In addition Spence really sells himself for Liverpools goal yesterday Doherty would have been getting pelters.
Not sure I'm seeing it man. Jones and Lamptey are VERY similar so not sure where you are making comparisons. Right down to the lack of height. Young and Moses are converted wingers as was LampteyTBF, both Spence and Jones seem more like the type of player Conte has used at WB previously.
Marcos Alonso and Victor Moses at Chelsea, Ashley Young, Perisic (and even Hakimi) at Inter... I wouldn't say that Lamptey is anything like any of them.
My point was only ever that is we managed to tick all 6 boxes (and no duds!) then we'd have done exceptionally well.
- Kinda agree about the ST situ.... It's a weird, somewhat 'fluid' situation atm; a lot depending on whether Conte settle on 343 or 352. If the latter we need to stock up on MFs & Defender; if 343 then a versatile player that can play AM and ST would go a long way. Mainly I don't relish some hard reset where Kane leaves where we have some raw 20 year old up top learning on the job.
- Eriksen; I'm kinda the opposite. For the last 6 months I've just seen it as silly nostalgia, but having seen him bag in the flesh in the EPL so long as he physically copes with the remainder of his time at Brentford, then for free he would be an excellent piece of business as depth/rotation..... Can offer quality in 3 different roles and would hit the ground running as he knows the league, club and most importantly Conte.
Ultimately about quality > quantity for me though..... The idea of some huge revamp is computer game talk IMO. Kulu and B'cur should have taught people a valuable lesson; but alas some lessons never get learned.

RE: ST Situation
-If Kane leaves, I don't think Conte is likely to stay, so we would get a chance to enact a full rebuild and tactical reshuffle.
-I'm totally sold on Conte's 3-4-3 and believe that if our players learn his combinations, which apparently are able to break any other formation down, there's probably no real reason to play any other formation while Conte coaches the team. Aka, I'm not sure why if we believe in Conte we'd worry about buying players with versatility in other formations.
RE: Eriksen
-I haven't watched him much at Brentford to be fair. If you feel confident his physique is up to snuff, and that he would be a willing rotation option from the bench, I trust your assessment of him and look forward to it as possibly a "cherry on top" kind of signing.
I just can't see us doing that much turnover business in one window. We might find it hard to shift Tanguy, Lo Celso and Gil (although I wouldn't want to shift Gil anyway). I wouldn't be sad to see Winks, Sanchez, Tanganga, Royal, Bergwijn/Moura (not both) but again that level of outgoings won't happen. Important to have a sense of harmony and continuity in the squad."we we are only likely to be able to bring in maybe 6 or 8 players...."
RWB #1
LCB #1
CM (starter quality)
ST #2
GK #2
+ Eriksen as an easy deal = CAM / CM / WFwd option.
If can we get all these done we should call it a day and see where we're at in January.
I just mean in general.... Kane can't keep bossing it for us into his 40s.
I have little concern about him leaving this summer.
I guess the question is if HE is sold or whether it's just an interim measure. Time will tell.
I'd love to see us control the midfield and be able to own games... If Conte thinks we have the system and personnel to do that with a 2 man MF who am I to argue.
Well he's got the rest of the season to showcase his fitness either way....... Seemed to settle straight in with Toney & co. though.
Out with Covid this weekend apparently.
Yes... just look at how hard Messi has flopped at PSG.That's it right there.
Jones is 5'11".
Lamptey is 5'5".
You really need to be a special player to overcome this disadvantage.

Remember with Conte having established a playing style and with just 2 new players we are now starting to look very good, probably top 3-5. I would rather 2-3 proper high level quality players came in that would be an obvious improvement over a period of 3-4 years than get small improvements over 6-7 positions.
I imagine we will spend big on 1-2 and look for freebies like Eriksen
Redemption-arc Eriksen, along with Kane and Dier, finally winning a trophy with us, would genuinely bring tears to my eyes. I hope Christian can find fitness and form at Brentford, and maybe his way over to us in the summer.

Those still living in 2016 presumably.
After two years of piling up COVID losses, I imagine that there is going to be a very robust market for free agents this summer.I imagine we will spend big on 1-2 and look for freebies like Eriksen
Gareth Bale is coming back as well....it's almost as exciting as Take That reuniting..Redemption-arc Eriksen, along with Kane and Dier, finally winning a trophy with us, would genuinely bring tears to my eyes. Read what? Where has the link come from? I’ve not seen it so intrigued…..
