Lo Celso and Ndombele are still our players as well, unless we can find a way to move them on.

I love Kalvin Phillips as a player, but he's had quite a few injury issues the last two seasons and Leeds would want a serious sum for him. Would be a concern.

But if he's fit, he'd really round our midfield nicely: Bentancur, Phillips, Skipp, Hojbjerg, Sarr.
I don't see Sarr going from bit part player at Metz to first-team regular at Spurs next season. He needs minutes and should be loaned out to a promoted Prem team maybe.

I mean, in what I just said he'd be fifth choice. Doesn't seem too exuberant.

Who's our fifth choice midfielder now? Alfie Devine? Harvey White?

I don't see the value of a Prem loan, he'd be far better off getting acquainted with the club who bought him rather than shipped out to a random club up from the Championship like Bournemouth or Luton who have no stake in his development especially when he'll already be adapting to a foreign country.

If he stays that will be two seasons of very limited minutes.

He needs games. We saw how Skipp benefitted from playing 40 games in the Championship.

He will waste a season just like White if he sits on the bench as 5th choice (I doubt he even makes the bench if we sign another CM).

He's got 2 years left and he's only 23. Would be classic if he just wound his deal down; left on a free and scooped up a massive signing on fee instead.....

He's a Chav, not a WH fan.... They'd do well to remember that.

I think it's a terrible idea to send a 19 year old Senegalese kid who is still learning English to Luton or Bouremouth or Brighton right after they move to a new club.

The loan system rarely works for English players, let alone a young foreign player with no experience living in England. For every Skipp there's an Andros Townsend or Harry Kane who said it was by large and miserable experience that impeded their development and made them feel like they were out all alone playing with grown men where they were afterthoughts. Skipp also spent two full seasons around the Tottenham first team making sporadic appearances before going to Norwich.

Sarr has made 47 appearances at Metz over the last two seasons and went to AFCON with championship winning side, he's not bang on starter but he's playing a lot for his age. He'd benefit much more an opportunity to settle in the country at a club with significant developmental resources like Tottenham and learn from Conte than be shipped out to some random place in England. If we want to loan him, it should be back to France.

If he's happy to stay; I'd send him back to Metz for another year.

I mean, I get that you're mocking them cause "West ham" etc but we've been in this situation a load of times and we would do, and have done the exact same thing.

not to piss on your chips but our main man hasn't signed a new deal........

1. Their respective ages are a defining difference.

2. In terms of the price-tag itself:

Grealish 100m
Kane 70m (rejected)
McGuire 80m
Sancho 75m

.........Rice 150m????

Not happening. That's a 'we don't want to sell' price-tag; which is a dangerous game to be playing with 2 years left(*).

(*That 3rd year afforded us all the leverage to deal on OUR terms last summer.)

H is doing that to put more pressure on the club to make signings that support Conte though. West Ham are already at their ceiling, they can't go higher than the 6th place they managed last year.
