That's Petro-ball.

22 year old being paid the GDP of a small country to kick a ball around, whilst practically running the show as well.

Properly insane. And yet they can't even win the CL and even lost Ligue 1 (Lmao) last season. The amount they spend on Mbappe's wages in a year is probably more than Lille will spend in a decade of transfers. What a fucking mad house.

It's all these things and more at play when you 'hear' me railing against this pretro-shite...... And of course how/why they are prepared to spend such obscene amounts in the first place.

Oh.... And fuck so-called FFP.

That appears to have only worked against smaller clubs with crap owners, and has done absolutely nothing to clubs owned by the super rich.

Just money plain and simple. That’s all most people really care about. Not what it stands for or where it comes from.

All the people watching the World Cup this year won’t give a fuck about the reality behind it either.

Just a sponsorship fest as players and ex players prostitute themselves out.

The world keeps turning….. money money money

If true Mbappe has catapulted himself to numero uno greedy fcuker.

Absolutely mental decision and awful for football.

If I were a team mate of his I would want to out.

The arrogance of some players is beyond belief.

The weakness of those who agree to such contracts is even worse.
He did what all players should do. maximise their earning potential and it’s a short contract anyway.

He didn’t force PSG to offer that deal, they did it to save face and nobody in their right mind is turning it down.

What stage of capitalism would you call this?

Noticed it was a Spanish outlet broke this news a couple of days back.

So someone from Madrid has decided to put information this out there.
Obviously got an indication he was staying at PSG.

Whether the actual deal has been exaggerated to save a bit of face…. Maybe time will tell.

By all means criticise his lack of ambition and for putting money >>> principals/ethics/credibility/etc. , but if that's his perceived commercial value to the one making the offer then it's not really worth busting his balls simply for being paid mega-bucks.

RM would have still been offering him an obnoxiously large wage/percs/signing-on-fee etc.

The funny part (nay; raging hypocricy!) is that La Liga never complained a jot when RM & Barca were paying La Liga poster-boys Messi & Ronaldo(*) ceiling shattering wages at their peak.

(*or Neymar or Bale or.... or.... )

Shit-houses.

You could argue winning a CL with PSG is much more ambitious and groundbreaking than being just another guy who won in the long history of Madrid.

That the French President and Qatari Emir, both were in contact with him, imploring him to stay shows that this was something just beyond a regular football move.
