Likewise, I think he would be an excellent addition (price depending, of course).

I just think we have to be realistic and understand that when we say 'we can offer you CL football', what it likely means is 'you'll get to watch Kane play CL football from the bench'.

I think it's perfectly understandable, and ambitious of him, to feel that this is not enough.
Has he played much from the right?

He might look at Kulu as his easiest target to get ahead of.

Though he'd lose the great balance we have now with Kulu cutting in on his left in that scenario.

I always seem to forget about this period after a season.

For a good 5/6 weeks aside from the occasional titbit, absolutely fuck all happens.

I suppose it’ll give me more time to spend with my family.

All very true.

And I would want to add that THE TIME IS NOW !!!

These situations do not last forever -
- Conte's contract runs until end of next season - if we want to even dream about him prolonging it, we NEED to keep him happy. And we need to give him tools.
- Son is soon 30; Kane soon 29; Lloris 35 and has played >400 games for us. They will not stay forever. Both Son and Kane are at peak of their abilities. This is limited time offer.
- Newcastle is raising force - soon we have to consider them as one significant competitor ; ManU will get a new manager and spend fortunes once more; Chelsea might see some turbulence with change in ownership
- We already have made part of the calculation - with 2 windows we moved on 13 players out of whom 10 were playing for us last season in Hart, Alderweireld, Sissoko, Ndombele, Alli, Lamela, Lo Celso, Aurier, Bale, Vinicius - we have made room. We need to find permanent solutions to Ndombele and Lo Celso situation, but while moving on 10 players we have added only 4 (Romero, Royal, Benta, Kulu). So there is room AND need for depth if we play in multiple levels

So once more THE TIME IS NOW. Chance is here, let's fucking take it now!
Let's not let it slip.
Good post. If we don't do it now, we'll be in the doldrums for another decade. This is where we finally find out Levy's commitment to the club. Hopefully he'll come good...

I'll be totally honest, I don't think I have ever actually watched him play football.
I just picked up on your comment that Burnley had the shittest defence in the PL.
Which is clearly wrong, they are actually pretty lean when it comes to conceding goals. Scoring is their issue. Their 53 against compared to: 84 for Norwich, 77 for Watford, 79 for Leeds, 66 for Everton, 67 for Southampton, 62, 56 for Brentford, 62 for Newcastle means only Palace (46) conceded less than Burnley in the bottom half. Leicester and United in the top half conceded more.

If Tarkowski is as shit as you say, then who is it that's making them that solid?
Sean Dyche. Systems coach can hide all manner of shittness under said system. "Sorry just a second. Hi Emerson, ola como via voce to you too mate"

Yeah sorry, I have watched him he's shit hard pass. The game against Newcastle was comic levels of gash from him. Be very wary of stat based scouting. Does among the shittiest defences in the EPL help.

Even Conte couldn't make Emerson look like a Wing Back

Question lads. Gabriel Jesus....or Emmanuel Dennis, or Maxwell Cornet or even Sarr. I think Cornet had the physical attributes to be more useful centrally than Jesus as does Dennis, Sarr offers an option on either wing. Personally I'd like a punt on a real talent like Ekitke.

I like Dennis a lot, Cornet has impressed but as someone else suggested maybe he could be an attacking lwb option.

Dan KP released an article that stated that we will move away from Signing young players only

If true that's massive, first signing should be Perisic if not Kostic
Probably should be Kostic, apparently Perisic has a calf problem that's making Inter fans hesitant about him wanting a 2 year deal.

Actually Matt1882 the stuff about system coaches is a sound one. It's why a little part of me thinks Ten Hagg and Man United might blow up. He has worked very well in system club...let's see how that translates. Hopefully really really badly

That's disappointing for Perisic, he would be my first choice but Kostic is still very good

If we don't get either in my opinion it would be a failure, we have been linked to Rain who I've never seen but Sosa I have (both bundesliga wingbacks) and he doesn't suit our style

A little thing that might have gone under the radar is his recent "incident" with that Sky reporter.

Sky is the god of PL football, they set narratives, they decide scheduling, and you must not get on their bad side. Ten Hag's cold shoulder to the Sky reporter has annoyed media people, including Spurs ones. Sky and co will be more inclined to push the "impersonal, awkward, not a people person", narrative and destroy Ten Hag before he cements his position at the club.

Ten Haag will struggle at United because their moronic fans and the obsessive media will demand United sign big names rather than the players needed to improve them.
They are quite literally the football team equivalent of a complete idiot with a massive dick waving it around thinking people are impressed.
Ten Haag will struggle to manage with the wrong players. Alternatively, the fans will be invading the stadium if they sign a bunch of young "nobodies" that he could potentially make a team out of.
