what a team tthat is title worthy

The bench against Norwich included Craig, Devine, Scarlett and White. With five subs and UCL, the depth needs to be so much better next season. Of course world class additions for the starting XI are needed but there will be "underwhelming" acquisitions that should be welcomed as squad players.

I think that naturally happens as we sign better players.

The likes of Davies, Sess, PEH etc. become the bench rather than starters.

Wouldn't get too excited about that..... I doubt Lewis would be digging into his own pocket if that was imminent.

Besides.....It was never a good idea to do that deal whilst in our recent slump..... Even now 1 season of CL doesn't do much on a perception level.... Re-qualify next year and elite players, other clubs and the commercial world will start to take notice again.
I think with Conte at the helm and strengthening the current squad CL is a given next season. I would be surprised if we got anything less than 80 pts next season. And this is a very different time compared to the Pocchetino era. The Poch era could have been seen as a purple patch and we didn't have the finances yet to compete with some of the bigger boys. This time now appears to be something that will be sustained. So it makes perfect sense that we would be viewed differently.

As for Lewis, I don't think he's doing this out of the kindness of his heart. Improving an already good team that can challenge for trophies with a proven winner in Conte will make the naming rights deal much more lucrative. And will increase the value of the club at the same time. So he's going to get back every penny that he put in and I don't begrudge him that, while at the same time us supporters will have something to cheer about too. Win win.
