We would be a physical behemoth with a squad like that - the height and physical presence at set pieces would be lethal. Just need someone who can put the ball in the mixer consistently (Kostic?)

I thought Torres didn’t want to join last season cause there was no Champions League now we hear he prefers to join United. Who knows what to believe??

F this guy if he goes to United

Didn't join us last summer cause he "wanted Champions League" and then joins United this summer to play Europa?

I rate him too

Nah, that was Kounde.

Torres chose to stay at Villareal cos they had CL for the first time in 15 years and he's on of their own.

He really wouldn’t though.

Bastoni would be insane but Torres is top drawer too. There’s very little between. Both incredibly similar style centre backs.
I don't agree and I've watched him all season he makes too many errors and plays on a league where his height is not exploited at the back post as it would be in the EPL. We will have to differ, I'd also take Gravidol over him.

Just a friendly reminder -

EPL Home Grown Player Rule
- At least 8 homegrown players are to be included in a full squad of 25 players (=17 foreign players). In the EPL, a home grown player is a player who was part of a club affiliated with the FA for at least 3 years before turning 21 years old. For example, Matt Doherty is a home grown because he was under Wolves for 3 years before turning 21, while Dier is not because he joined Spurs when he was 20 years old from Sporting CP.
- Note that players who are 21 and under would not be counted towards the 25-squad. For example, Kulusevski (21) would not be counted as one of 17 foreign players or take up a space in the 25-squad until next year.

Champions League Home Grown Player Rule
- At least 8 homegrown players are to be included in a full squad of 25 players (excluding U-21 applies), but at least 4 of the homegrown must be from the club's youth system.
- For the CL, home grown players mean any player trained by clubs from the same national league for at least 3 years between the age 15 and 21. Hence, players trained in Welsh clubs are excluded (e.g., Roden and Davies).

Tottenham Homegrown Players (players in italics are from Spurs' youth system; players in bold not counted for the CL purposes)
1. Brandon Austin
2. Harry Kane
3. Harry Winks
4. Adeleke Omole
5. Japhet Tanganga
6. Skipp
7. Segssenon
8. Matt Doherty
9. Ben Davies
10. Joe Rodon

So, we will need to get at least 1 more home grown player for CL purposes if we get rid of Winks (signing Ben Forster might take care of it). We may need to sign more homegrown players if we want to add more room for new signings by getting rid of Omole (or loaning out Tanganga). Since we need to maintain at least 4 academy trained players (and those who can somewhat perform when needed), we may not sell Winks unless he causes fiasco in the dressing room, just like Inter never sell 34-year old Ranocchia for homegrown/academy product counting purposes. We cannot get rid of Winks and loan out Omole and Tanganga next season because we would then only have Austin, Kane, and Skipp. Also, I don't think our foreign players can exceed 17 (not counting under 21) when we think about bringing in additional players.

Current Foreign Players for the CL Roster (excluding U21)
1. Lloris
2. Reguilon
3. Romero
4. Sanchez
5. Rodon
6. Royal
7. Dier
8. Davies
9. Hojbjerg
10. Bentancur
11. Son
12. Kane
13. Bergwijn
14. Moura
15. Lo Celso (on loan)
16. Ndombele (on loan)
Gil and Kulusevski will turn 22 during the second half of the next season. I'm not sure if we have to update the roster then to include them as senior players.

8 homegrown + 16 foreign players would be 24 players (without considering Gil and Kulusevski turning 22 in the middle of the season). If we sell 4 foreign players and 1 homegrown player (say Winks), we can bring in 6 players but one must be a homegrown. Forster might fill that, but then we can only bring in 5 foreign players, which may not satisfy Conte. Hence, we will have to sell or loan out at least 5 foreign players or more to have 6 new signings (other than Forster) while complying with the 17 foreign player limit and the 25-squad limit.

5+ exiting foreign players may be Lo Celso, Ndombele, Bergwijn, Royal, Rodon, Sanchez and/or Reguilon.
Replacing homegrown with other homegrowns may be Winks, Tanganga, and/or Omole (but not all of them can be replaced to meet the academy product requirement).

Feel free to correct me if anything has changed with the rule.

Looks like Utd have made the first move for SMS

Premier League side Man Utd have made their opening offer for Lazio midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, according to reports.

The Serbia international contributed 11 goals and 11 assists in 37 Serie A matches as he had another outstanding season with Lazio finishing fifth in Serie A, one place ahead of arch-rivals Roma.

That form has again seen him routinely linked with a move to the Premier League with the Red Devils, Chelsea, Tottenham and Liverpool all linked this season.

However, it is Man Utd who continue to be linked extremely regularly and now La Reppublica (via Sport Witness) claim that the Red Devils have made an opening offer for Milinkovic-Savic of €55m (£47m).

The apparent bid was made to Lazio at the weekend but the report insists that it is still ‘far from the request’ of the Serie A club’s president Claudio Lotito, who is expecting a fee nearer €80m for his prized asset.

Former Chelsea striker Mateja Kezman is Milinkovic-Savic’s agent and it is understood to be his belief that a bid between €65m and €70m would do it.

And La Reppublica adds that there are more meeting scheduled ‘in the next few days’ over a potential transfer to Man Utd

Why do people want soon to be 34 year old Perisic so much? He's been a quality player and is still decent but I can't imagine him fairing too well in the Premier League at this stage of his career,
I think he'd function on the pitch very well performance wise for a year at least, but obviously the age/injuries would be a concern. Watched a good amount of Inter the last few years and he was probably their best player the season just gone.
