Eddie Howe was nominated...
He'd get my vote if I had one.

5 pts from 11 games, that's nailed on relegation. That's even worse than the 2 from 8 situation that Redknapp inherited from Ramos. With players like Bale and Modric, Ledley, Dawson, Lennon.

IMO he's turned around a worse situation more effectively than anyone else. Of course he bought in Jan but getting new players in is never a guarantee of success. Lot of them got injured, like Trippier. Form since mid Jan is 76 pts a season. That's an insane difference he's made. Good football too. We all saw how they absolutely battered Goons last week.

10/10.

Vierra and Frank very good too. Brentford have played good football, on a tiny budget. Vierra has completely turned around Hodgson ball. The previous guy who tried that lasted 4 matches before the sack.

9/10

Potter getting Brighton to their highest ever position. Steady progress, good football. Clearly very good man manager.

8/10

Legoman: completely blew a nailed on top 4. 6 pts ahead of us with a game in hand in Jan. 4 pts ahead with 3 games to go. Paid Auba to go to Barca and score a ton of goals there, didn't replace in Jan. Spent £50m on a defender who's probably not as good as the guy they've loaned to Lyon.

10/10.

Now we have fans on Twitter who are scared that he might walk away from his contract because his family live in Italy and he's missing them.

Anything is possible. He is a family man, has a young daughter, he is living in a London hotel, it can't be easy and I know he is paid many millions to be a football manager but the daily grind and pressure must be difficult to deal with when you go back to a lonely hotel room on a daily basis and don't have your loved ones with you.

Well I don't know what difference it would make as opposed to when he initially signed the contract...it was most probably in his thinking when he agreed to the 18 months.

True but from the outset maybe the idea seemed acceptable but the reality now is a different matter. Who knows, hopefully it's not an issue and he is fine and looking forward to a full season with us.

We can't deny that this is an issue. Everyone has a private home and family life - even world class football managers. I guess a long-term contract with us would necessitate moving his family over here. Whether or not he and his family are willing to do that is a separate issue from whether or not we can match his ambition.
