Depends on what you define as technical ability, he's a fairly decent tackler, good positioning for interceptions, and a good final pass with through balls and some crosses.
On the other hand, he's very easy to press, can't turn with the ball so forced to pass it back too much, struggles to control long passes to him, can't spray the ball about like Kane, Dier, and Romero. The biggest issue by far is the fact that gets into good positions in the box on a weekly basis and then cocks up the final pass/shot. Based on the chances he's had, I'd expect someone like Son to have 6/7 goals.
yea i dont think his passing is as bad as others say. ive seen him play some decent long balls, ive seen him do one with his left foot that actually surprised me as it was a good long ball to switch play and hes done it with his weaker foot.In short passing in the attacking third, but not the long passes to spread play to the wingbacks, or when under a lot of pressure.
Winning 50/50s isn't the issue, it's that you can't play out the back with him, as I said, even a bit of pressure and the ball has to go back to a CB, then to Lloris to hoof it. He doesn't have to have it all, but if we start him, this is an issue.
And that's the reason he should stay, but as a footballer, he's still pretty sub-par. He still has all the flaws I was talking about.
If our new signings bed in well, and show good leadership traits, we should look to move him on in a few seasons.
Point is that he ends up in prime goal scoring situations too often without actually scoring. There's a lot of goals to be had if we could find someone who does what he does but with a bit of composure in the box.Bearing in mind how crazy clinical Son is, the 3G 4A that PEH did get seems entirely reasonable.

The "talent" they have is past its sell by date mostly.Honestly, I think they have more talent than people give them credit for- it's just that they have no idea how to stop themselves from fucking up even worse. I think a truly savvy manager could turn them around within 2 seasons.
Tottenham in "pole position" for Ndicka isn't a close enough a link for you?Just noticed that Ndicka has 4 goals 4 assists for Frankfurt in Bundesliga this season. Impressive attacking stats for a LCB.
He seems to fit the profile we need, and only has one year left on his contract, so I am confused as to why we aren't linked to him more closely.
It was from a nonsense source I don't trust. No reliable outlet has even said we're linked with him so far.Tottenham in "pole position" for Ndicka isn't a close enough a link for you?
Richarlison?Ideal but realistic transfer window activity (bold is completed):
Forster ↔ Gollini
Perisic ↔ Reguilon
Spence ↔ Emerson
Ndicka ↔ Sanchez
Bremer ↔ Rodon
Bissouma ↔ Winks
Eriksen
Raphinha ↔ Bergwijn
Gil, Sarr out on loan; sell Lo Celso & Ndombele

Take out an ageing Ronaldo, an ageing Cavani, an ageing Mata and what have you left talent wise?
Bruno Fernandez? Definitely has talent.
Jason Sancho? Has talent, but does he have the desire?
Marcus Rashford? Too inconsistent.
Pogba? LOL! If they changed their shirts to French Blue and bought Kante...
Luke Shaw? See Marcus Rashford.
Wan Bissaka? Limited.
That's about it really. The rest are just expensive journeymen. I've left out Greenwood for obvious reasons.
I couldn't see Conte turning that lot around in 2 seasons, much less Ten Hag.

I would personally prefer Raphinha to Richarlison.
They absolutely do. They finished 2nd in Ole's final full season and got to a Europa League final. Then added Ronaldo, Varane & Sancho. There's talent there 100%, like with us you won't necessarily see it till a top manager comes in, establishes a plan & suddenly even the likes of Ben Davies look brilliant.
Conte would've got them top 4 with Maguire re-discovering form at the centre of a back 3, and they'd be having a similar window to us right now and upgrading at right back, LCB, RW & midfield.
Would absolutely love it for you cunts to explain your snide disagrees for once. Bring it.

I think you're overrating Man United players.I understand your point- I just think somebody should be able to craft a great attack out of Sancho, Rashford and Fernandes. Bringing in egomaniac Ronaldo, that snuffed out the creativity of Sancho and Rashford, was a huge mistake.
Add to that McTominay, who I rate pretty decently, Varane and DeGea, and I see a pretty good backbone of players. Yea they have a lot of stinkers, but they also have plenty of cash to go out and buy new 40-50m RB, LB, CM, and ST if they want to. I don't really see it as being too big of a challenge to replace those four and bring in some depth elsewhere.
Rashford absolutely murdered us 2 seasons ago. I think hes just been out of form- likely demoralized from having to kiss Ronaldo's ass all day...I think you're overrating Man United players.
Ronaldo was inconsistent but their best outfield player last season, but he will decline further this year due to age.
Rashford is a dud, Bruno is creative but also gives the ball away a lot. McTominay is mediocre, while Varane is injury prone.
I think United are in real trouble, don't see them getting top 4 with ETH even if they get De Jong.
