Ndicka is a good profile for us. 22, power and pace, looks like a fit for the Premier League.

Probably a little more raw than Bastoni or Torres, but I also think he’s more suited to us in the long run as he can play in both a 2 or 3 CB setup. Bastoni straight up cannot play in a 2 and if we’re being honest Conte isn’t going to be here forever so we might not be playing 3 in a few years.

Ndicka’s playing style, experience, and accolades in the bundesliga are pretty similar to Ibrahim Konate who has taken well to the PL. Honestly maybe even a bit more successful considering he made a team of the season and played about 40 more games in his bundesliga career than Konate.

So we have the following left footed defenders that we are interested in (allegedly)

Evan N'dicka. 22 year old, 192 cm. Market value on transfermarkt €32M. Available for €19M (we think),

Badiashile. 21yo, French U21, 194 cm. Market value €30M. Monaco in for Sanchez, possible swap deal?

Piero Hincapie, 20yo, Equadorian, 184cm, market value €17M. Looks like he has played left back in the last games.

Pau Torres, 25yo, 191cm, market value €50M. Possible swap with Lo Celso.

Lenglet, Barcelona, 27yo, 186cm, market value €12M. Possible loan deal.

Who will it be?
Bastoni

pretty sure Konate has had more howlers leading to goals than Davies last season.

Anyway, it seems we've narrowed it down to Ndicka, Torres and possibly Hincapie. Having seen so little of all of these players, Torres is the least intersting, as he's more passive than the other two. Ndicka has decent experience of high pressure games, but Hincapie seems to be more highly rated in the Bundesliga.

Don’t really fancy any of these.

Go all out for Bremer, the best CB available and bring Lenglet in on loan.

We can look for a LCB in January or next summer.

Inter must put some strong drugs in their water, all the players who left are suffering from serious withdrawal.
I have a suspicion that, at least when they're at Inter, a lot of the 'not wanting to go' is lip service to make sure none of the ultras turn on them ("oh, I didn't *want* to leave, but the club had to sell, so...").

Hakimi would be a different situation though. Oh how I wish we'd just get our financial schlong out and go ham for him.
:contepoint:

Paris and london are as well

Must be more to do with the club and it’s fans ….. lukaku refers to this every time a journalist gets him away from the chavs
Inter are a huge club. They were my first love and they have had enormous players throughout their history and won a LOT.

People here sometimes act surprised that players love inter or like spurs are a bigger club because now we have more money but since we last won a trophy they have won… 3 league titles, 3 Italian cups, 1 champions league, and the fifa club World Cup. And reached a Europa league final.

They’ve won as much in 14 years as we’ve won since 1980. I’m not having a go at us but you can’t even compare the two clubs.

I think even the money thing is misleading as they have been making catastrophic losses so their players have been getting bigger wages than Inter can actually afford.

That said, if I was the owner, I'd be getting twitchy that Marotta seems to spend a lot of time trying to buy players or get expensive ones back.
