What Lies Beneath - SC

believe we can meet this package and are close to this VIA his rep, but have not yet made a formal offer. Conte and Fab still deciding if its him they want or the other 4 they will go for . Woolwich are scrambling been told as there chances of signing him become lesser and lesser the longer this drags. There first offer was derisory and certainly mis informed. There also struggling to close on Jesus ATM for unforeseen circumstances which should be for his thread but thought i would add this here .

Mason Mount is also very good .. for his club, anyway.

But gotta disagree all round .. Foden's quality. He's technically brilliant but also has that burst of pace which excites people. He was marked by numerous CL teams as the player to rough up/try and stop, but was still the decisive man in a number of those games.

He's the best young player in the league, for me. He floats with the ball at his feet. He's still lacking slightly in terms of consistency/end product but the talent level is exceptional.
I think you know your football

I also think you over rate Foden massively

Still waiting …. When’s he gonna start dominating games ?
He just whiffs about being technically sound, pleasant on the ball …. But fuvk all else

And he’s yet another who’s shit for England…. This generational talent doesn’t nail a starting spot for the national side and why if he’s so good ?

I don't know any 22 year olds who dominate games consistently. But I've seen him be by far the best player on the pitch vs Liverpool (more than once) and play brilliantly vs the likes of PSG & Atletico Madrid in the CL. He steps up on big occasions regularly.

He's still got plenty to work on. International football can be a rude awakening stylistically, especially under someone like Southgate. But he's hugely talented and a pleasure to watch play football, he may not be the most explosive/productive, but like B.Silva he makes the game look easy.

I can't think of anyone off the top of my head now. But Rooney could dominate games as a teenager. He was an absolute beast.

You could argue Kane at 22 was the best player on the pitch too.

Rooney was a freak. He had the body of a full grown man at 16 and could do scary things with a football. He was also burnt out by the age of 28. Kane was/is an exceptional goal scorer but wouldn’t say he dominated games at 22.

I think Foden will age well, his talent is more subtle, not as explosive but he relies more on fundamentals. To even be starting regularly for City at 22 is an impressive feat, let alone being a regular difference maker in big CL games.
