Transfers Summer 2022 Transfer Thread.

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Gvardiol would be an awesome signing but apparently Leipzig are an absolute ball ache to deal with. Not sure what they’d want for him but I imagine it would be silly money.

He looks like he’s going to be an absolute baller though. His left peg is phenomenal for a centre back too. Wherever he ends up, it’ll be interesting to see how good he gets.

…on Tottenham's transfer goals in central defence:

“That will depend on the price. I can tell you that one of the players you have been watching for a long time is RB Leipzig's Mohamed Simakan. Another player they hold in high esteem is (Josko) Gvardiol. Those are two players they really like, but it depends on the price. We know how difficult it is to negotiate with Leipzig.

In terms of top targets, Pau Torres was close to joining Tottenham a year ago. It could happen this summer depending on the negotiations with Giovani Lo Celso. But nothing concrete so far. We heard rumors about a potential move from Pau Torres a few days or weeks ago but nothing is in sight at the moment.

Bastoni was a top target but he's staying at Inter. (Milan) Škriniar would have an opportunity to leave. Maybe to switch to PSG, who are ahead at the moment. But Bastoni is a really complicated matter...

I'm sure Tottenham will bring in a centre-back because Antonio Conte is dying to have one. For the moment you have to keep an eye on players from RB Leipzig in particular. But they are not easy to negotiate. I wouldn't be surprised if Fabio Paratici (Tottenham's sporting director) pulls a surprise out of his hat because he's a savvy one."

Option 1, 2, or 3?

Obviously, this is an overly simplistic view of this transfer window. It doesn't take into account wages, player availability, and other factors. This is just for fun.
option 4: ndicka + richarlison + hakimi

It looks like Woolwich are trying to buy their way back into relevancy - but if they have any more Pepe level flops then they’re fucked imo.

They’re a very fragile team who overperformed last season.
Every chance that Raphina and Jesus come good for them but they still end up 5th. Which would be a huge blow.

Seven seasons in a row of no CL, that's when the likes of Saka start to get restless.

Obviously this is all hypothetical but the figures do look very fair/realistic.

Option 1 maybe add Bremer on top and that is an outstanding team.

Seeing as we're playing fantasy football; option 2 pls, Daniel.

Bloody hell, they're going all in with this guy.

30m Viera
50m for Raphina
45m for Jesus (hypothetical)

That's 125 just for attacking players. No Xhaka replacement, no cover or replacement Tierney or Tomiyasu, no backup for Partey.

Are they gonna outspend everyone in the league again?

Fuck Arsnal.... We should sign him if WE want him bad enough. All the this 'sabotage' talk (of a guy that may cost 65m!) is fan flannel.
No, it's not fan flannel.

Raphinha is a quality player. He would massively improve both our squad and Woolwich's.
If he's going to either us or Barcelona, then his signing is less urgent as if we drop out and sign Rich instead, it wouldn't strengthen a direct rival.
But atm it looks like either us or Woolwich.

We just signed a game-changing CM whom should elevate our first XI and a top class WB .

They have just added another lightweight tiny dancer to pretty up their bench.
We've definitely had a better window than them so far. Bissouma and Perisic are class, while Viera and Jesus wouldn't make our first XI.

I observed this yesterday too; they're bringing in quality but it doesn't make much sense from a squad building perspective for them.

Hakimi is staying at PSG, Sterling would not leave City to join us, Bremer wants to go to Inter (who can afford him after Skriniar goes to PSG).

Gvardiol is realistic at that fee, but imo it's a rip off. He's a youngster with good potential, but struggled vs Rangers. Frankly his fee should be lower than Romero's 50m.
