Errr... colossus at ... 1.85 m  What would they make of Forster at 2,01m 🤔

Singo is not a Spence downgrade imho but Spence nationality give the edge.
Oh, I think there's a good chance Singo and Clauss would be better than Spence this year. Clauss more than likely would be, Singo is a complete wildcard. But yeah, nationality is a big reason we're signing him. Still, lots to like about Spence if he can clean up his final pass and attention to defensive responsibility.

One would believe that £15m is a fair price to pay for a HG RWB that Spurs consider as 1st choice in a team Levy seems fit to challenge for top spots in the EPL & CL

Tottenham Hotspur are still some way short of Middlesbrough’s £15 million valuation of Djed Spence

According to Sky Sports’ Lyall Thomas, Spurs are £5 million short of coming to an agreement with Boro for the 21-year old.

It was initially reported that the Teesside club are hoping to guarantee a minimum fee of £15 million in any potential deal to sell Spence.

But the North London side are yet to come close to that valuation as they believe a £10 million fee up front, with add-ons, is a fair price for the full back.

Antonio Conte is hoping to add the Boro player as his fourth signing of the summer having already secured Ivan Perisic, Fraser Forster and Yves Bissouma.

But Boro are determined to earn what they see as an appropriate fee for the player who only has 12 months remaining on his current deal at the Riverside.

Spence raised his profile over the last season having played a crucial role in Nottingham Forest’s promotion to the Premier League while on loan.

He played 42 times in the season for the Reds, scoring twice and earning four assists as he asserted himself as a key part of the team under Steve Cooper.

The England underage international is now hoping to establish himself as a Premier League player this summer following his exceptional performances in Nottinghamshire.

The Verdict

This may ultimately be a transfer saga that runs into July given the history Tottenham have with transfer targets.

A £5 million difference in valuation will not likely be solved easily considering the overall cost of the fee.

But this deal will likely still go through eventually given the desire from all parties to come to some agreement.

Spence deserves to ply his trade in the top flight and Boro could use the funds received to improve their squad for a tilt at promotion from the Championship this season.

‘INTERESTING ONE’: JOURNALIST SAYS RICHARLISON IS ‘NOT THE ONLY EVERTON PLAYER SPURS LIKE’

Speaking on the Last Word on Spurs YouTube channel, Sky Sports journalist has made an interesting transfer claim about Tottenham Hotspur.

As many Spurs fans will have seen, Tottenham have been linked with Richarlison this summer, and interestingly Thomas says that the Toffees are keen to sell the Brazilian during this transfer window.

However, in addition to this, Thomas claims that Richarlison is not the only Everton player that Spurs have an eye on, but he refused to name the player, or players, he was alluding to

WHAT’S BEEN SAID?

Thomas spoke about Spurs’ interest in Richarlison and potentially another Everton player.

“But as far as I understand it there are not clubs that are queuing up for Richarlison at the moment, Everton are keen to do a deal and clubs do know that, but here we are and it’s not transpired yet. It’s a very interesting one and he’s certainly not the only Everton player Spurs like,” Thomas said.

“Are you going to tell us any names Lyall, or is that just a teaser?” The journalist was asked.

“Not yet,” Thomas concluded.

WHO COULD IT BE?

After such a torrid season, we have to wonder which Everton players Spurs have an eye on.

Well, there have been linked with Jordan Pickford in the past, and at his age he could potentially be Hugo Lloris’ long-term successor.

Given that Dominic Calvert-Lewin is an England international who is proven at this level, you also have to think that he could be the player Thomas is speaking about.

Anthony Gordon is a young up-and-comer who could one day be good enough to star for Tottenham, but other than that, it really is slim pickings at Goodison Park.

Keep an eye out for any links between Tottenham and players from Everton.
