With 7we can have a 24 man squad plus under 21. We haven’t always had 25 man squad. A lot of teams don’t.

Doherty and Davies aren't homegrown in Europe. We can carry someone not registered in Europe for 6 months if necessary.

I think this kid would be a solid buy. Creative and physical robust good forward passer. If we are passing on Eriksen for the flair....I'd be interested at under 10m I see West Ham getting him.
Davies and Doherty aren't eligible for champions league which causes serious issues. To properly compete in all competitions we need a full squad with 22 players minimum.
I'd rather they signed him than (eg) Lewandowski.
He'll hate the grind of the EPL.
Semi-related; Really relieved that they never got Bissouma to replace Kante....... God knows they'll need a player of that mold in a year or two.

I think Most people know Ali G knows very very very little 5% at most 95% opinion.... only knows a little more at times only when the club want to use him as a mouthpiece. It's also dumb because Son & Kane have the best understanding of any attackers in the league, so much of how we play is based on their partnership.

I'd imagine wages forms part of the 'war chest' too, so it all adds up.
We will all want improvements elsewhere but we have already significantly improved.

Jwp isn’t worth that but he is worth that to Southampton…. He’s regularly their best player and they’d struggle to replace him
