According to TFM; 23 of his apps were there last season...

(Though I'm dubious about those numbers as I can't remember may of them myself. Feel free to counter with more reliable stats.)

If Pep preferred to play no CF in recent years, rather than play GJ there, what does that tell you?

(It's not like Aguero was some beefy target-man; GJ should have been able to fit their system.)

He played less minutes that GJ.

Up until the 1st NLD PEA was still their captain and main man.

Goons rated AL... Not sure that aids your argument, but ok.

Aubameyang often played out on the left to accomodate Lacazette.

At the end of the day, Jesus, while far from prolific, would never score just 4 goals in 30 odd Premier League games as the above did last season.

"Barcelona are hoping Tottenham can convince France centre-back Clement Lenglet, 27, to move to the Premier League so that the La Liga side can start a summer clear-out of players." (ESPN)"

makes us sound like a rubbish bin...really insulting....espn is an American network so I really don't know what to make of this statement but I'm definitely not happy about it....

Don’t make this about American coverage. NBC covers us much more positively than basically any UK coverage.

ESPN just sucks in general and really sucks for football coverage.

Richarlison is more important than Raphinha. Suits our needs much more. And has the sort of mentality that we need to inject into the side.

I don't care if Raphinha goes to Woolwich. He'd just be another enemy.

TBF, the best thing about Jesus is not his goals, it's the workrate, off the ball movement, dribbling, and fairly decent hold up play.

Goons spent much of the last 4/5 years saying the same about Lacazette.

Look; bottom line is I'm not fussed about the goons signing GJ.... He'd be a back-up here and just as prone to all the things that people are using to 'excuse' him (no run of games etc.)... Only without the insane chance creation of City to prop him up.

I agree that he shouldn't concern us. If we get our work done, and live up to expectations, we should comfortably finish ahead of them.

At that point, if either them or the chavs lose out 4th, it doesn't make a huge difference. Them finishing outside top 4 for a 7th season might just about finish them off as a threat for the forseeable future.

Yeah, but the players available are important.
If Bastoni and Hakimi were available then perhaps they'd be the priorities. But they're not. Raphinha is a proven match winner, a player with X factor we should not miss out on.

I suspect the club aren't feeling as 'drunk' on him as you've become.

It's entirely rational though. For a relegation team, losing a relegation 6 pointer is a more damaging blow than losing to a top team.
In the same way, Raphinha going to Woolwich doubles the blow of us missing out.

That's a poor analogy.......

The natural conclusion of which is that we have to buy any decent players to keep them away from Arse, Chavs, United and co.

Bissouma really is a game changer for us and I don't think enough people realise. But they will soon enough.

It would be incredible if we could somehow pull off Richarlison + Raphina and not completely unrealistic given Berg is gone and Lucas is going into his last year.
If you want a player that can play CF (and WF) then Raphina is not that man.

Good player that Raphina is, Richarlison is a better fit for our squad right now.
I would love both but I can’t see that happening tbh.
Another player that not really been mentioned that would be great for us imo is Neto at wolves

The way some people are talking about Arse; it's as if everyone else will 'stand still'...... They won't.

If you include no Europe; last season was a huge opportunity blown for them.

That's a ridiculously scaled down argument considering where we started (you stating as fact that GK will score 15-20).

(......As already said above, this whole Lacazette side-argument is a red-herring.)
