My few cents on Lengelt from what I've seen of him - decent in the air, scores a few headers. Good long pass BUT has a tendency to dive into a tackle way too much and commits himself. can be wreckless.

Looks great when he wins the tackle as the first comp will show however if he get's done, it's impossible to recover as per comp 2.

**to clarify the second clip is only 3 mins odd and also includes errors from Pique and Umtiti.

Kane, Son, Kulusevski, Richarlison and Raphinha. If we have that five to choose from we will genuinely push Man City for the title. That is how tantalisingly close we are so the club should simply be brave and get both the Brazilians in this summer.
We would need to strengthen the other areas too.

It's not about 'levels' - they are very different players, and for many on here, the Richarlison type of player is a better fit for us / Conte than the Raphinha type of player. "Calling out" people just because they have a different opinion to you on a couple of players is a bit arrogant / ignorant as far as I'm concerned.
Fair; by call out I meant I would criticise their opinions- no personal insults.

Richarlison is more important than Raphinha. Suits our needs much more. And has the sort of mentality that we need to inject into the side.

I don't care if Raphinha goes to Woolwich. He'd just be another enemy.
I do not see why Richarlison is rated so highly.

I don’t think people here that rate him at £30-35m and Winks the other way have watched him at all. That is WAY more than he is worth.

Fair enough - it's an interesting debate - reading the last 50 or so pages over the last few days, I'd say people on here are split roughly 50/50 on which is the better player, and which is the better fit for us... For me, whichever one Conte thinks can work best in his system, that's the one I'd want. And again IMO, given how important work rate is to Conte, I'd expect that to be Richarlison (but can see why others would prefer the technical superiority of Raphinha).

To be fair, there's a pretty good chance that we won't sign either Rich or Ralph. Or any of the other names mentioned on planet ITK for that matter.

how much is lenglet on? i remember watching him when we played barca at wembley. he was their best defender that night by some way. looked classy. clearly fallen off, but maybe conte can get him back on track.

There is a premium there because he is is proven and knows the English game. The assumption is, he will be less of a risk.

Richarlison & Charles De Ketelaere could be a nice blend; with the latter probably being a bit more patient in terms of game-time.

But yeh; Lucas very much ticks that box in the meantime.

(I think a big factor that's been missing in the past is to sub the likes of Son & Kane off when the games in the bag..... Poch was crap at this. Hopefully the 5 sub rule changes things.)
Agree we could do with one more after Richarlison if Berg goes. And it's more likely to be a promising talent like De Ketelaere than Raphinha, who looks a bit too pricey for what he'll give us.

Fall back options I guess are we keep Gil or even integrate Alfie Devine who some say is ready to step up. But I wouldn't be surprised is we sign an attacking mid like Zaniolo to give us 352 potential.

"Barcelona are hoping Tottenham can convince France centre-back Clement Lenglet, 27, to move to the Premier League so that the La Liga side can start a summer clear-out of players." (ESPN)"

makes us sound like a rubbish bin...really insulting....espn is an American network so I really don't know what to make of this statement but I'm definitely not happy about it....

Don't let it bug you too much. If you're not Man U, Man City, Chelsea or Liverpool then ESPN essentially views you as some kind of bottom-feeder (as far as the EPL goes anyways!)

Attacking mid I think means a 10, an Eriksen, Maddison type, or a wide attacker that can come inside and cause havoc ie Raphinha, Paqueta, Saint Maxim. Basically a player that operates in the attacking third. Centre mid is sorted with the 4 we have.
Traore would fit that bill. He really can cause havoc.

Seems like a risky signing and doesn't seem defensively what Conte would want at the back.
