80M for Gvardiol? No chance. If that would be the case, Conte would go mental for Bastoni. It's either going to be Pau Torres or Lenglet (and we focus on other areas of the pitch) for that LCB.
What are the chances Gvardiol costs more than 80m even if he has a good world cup and a good season in the league/Europe again?

Not high.

Oh I agree there. Gvardiol would be a better and not as risky choice especially since we play a back three but 80 mil for a 20 yr old after 1 good season is tough.
Knowing Levy it ends up being 50 up front and the rest scaled.

The guy helps us qual for CL again and that covers the rest, anyway.

First time I've been genuinely excited this window, since Bastoni links.

If both Lucas and Bergwijn go, then we'll need another forward.
Indeed.
If we’re essentially sending winks (15-20) and moura (tougher to gauge for me- but let’s say 15)….we can say maybe another 20 for Richarlison?
We pay up front and these 2 leave after July 1.
For arguments’ sake that would be 20 mil for Richarlison. We’d have saved a ton of cash here.
Maybe we are in for Raphina as well. I highly doubt it, but one could dream

I'd rather try with someone like Lisandro Martinez, Hincapie etc. and if that doesn't work try again next year, rather than spunking 80m on one player, who won't be good value anything short of world class season, and if he flops we're left holding the bag.

Have you heard for Lisandro Martinez two weeks ago?

I’m not saying Gvardiol costs 80M. But Liverpool payed 100M for a kid from Benfica. That’s football nowadays. I would rather buy Gvardiol for 80 than get Torres for 50 or Lenglet on loan. He’s 20 and already really good. I don’t want to see him in Chelsea in two years and regret why didn’t we pull the trigger.

Yes. I followed Argentina quite closely from around the time we were linked with Lo Celso or maybe when Foyth got his chance at RB. Check my posts, I was pretty much the first one here to back Romero.

Even though he didn't play a lot, there was a bit of buzz around Martinez too. They think him and Romero will be the go to CB partnership of Argentina going forward.

I have my reservations about him, but if he turns out to be another Davinson Sanchez we won't be stuck with another Ndombele/Lo Celso situation. We're not yet City/United, we can't afford such a big blunder.
