This is so dumb of Barca, business wise, to commit away 25 years worth of a probably growing revenue stream like that. I guess it could be capped? Anyway, they probably feel it is necessary to have cash now given the mess they’ve got themselves in but i suspect they will use it to continue as before and just get in more mess down the line. Terrible mismanagement. Glad not my club.
They should straight up forget about Raphina, Dembele, whoever and throw every fracking penny at signing the most useful asset that club could have.....About the only one left could fix that mess.:levystare:

Question what would he want for himself 🤔

Grealish is far better than Maddison to me. Grealish was completely dominating Aston Villa games. Maddison has a good game once every few games.
That wasn't the point I was making. Grealish is better, but his price will be the benchmark. That doesn't mean that Leicester will be demanding £100M, but I think they'll be value Maddison against that sum. In other words, if they see him as, say, 80% as good as Grealish, they'll be looking for 80% of £100M.

I get that he only has 2 years on his contract, but that won't influence the valuation Leicester put on him. Like with any prized asset, they'll start high then negotiate down.

I don't know if anyone has enquired about him yet, so my point is moot really. However, say Utd were in for him. Do you think they'd get him for less than say £60M?

I certainly don't.

I think we’ve done some very good business so far. Richalison is a good deal especially when you think of the games he will cover for Kane in comps like league cup or initial stages of the FA Cup very valuable signing. I think Perisic is a fantastic deal that not many people realise how good he will be for us on the left his deliveries from crosses and set pieces are going to be massive along with the education he will give Sess. I think Eriksen would make us title challengers we are missing a brains type player who can play through and over teams with one pass if we get him in addition to the players we’re linked to sign I think we will be up there this season. Conte is the first spurs manager I’ve seen to be fully backed without question its over to him now which is such a nice feeling to have finally!!!!

Lenglet will definitely be cover for (or in place of) Davies. My thought was more-so that Romero and Bremer (if signed) would be our clear cut top two CB. After that, Dier would likely be 3rd and he has LCB experience.

Does Conte relegate him to the bench because his preferred position of the middle CB in a 3 is taken or does he slot Dier into that LCB role to play our best 3 CB's?

This is mainly a question for the beginning of the season should Bremer be on his way here.
Can't see a world where Conte doesn't play a left footed player at LCB. It makes the transition of defence and playing out so much easier.

If Conte's top 2 targets are Bastoni and Gvardiol, and neither are available this summer then moving for Lenglet on a loan makes sense as it fills a position but doesn't mean we spend big.

I wouldn't be shocked to see us bring in another centre half, like Bremer to rotate with Dier and Romero, but we also need to ship out Sanchez permanently and Rodon on loan.

Maddison is an arsehole but he’s better than Grealish. He scores goals, and some very good goals at that.
Grealish is becoming like Beckham .....the public image is far bigger than what he does on the pitch.

More like taking out a second mortgage to buy a couple of sports cars, and that's much, much worse. At least if you're dipping into your retirement account you've already got the money...
Which is what some people on here wanted us to do all these years, not realizing that it's going to catch up to you. And we're not even Barca, at least, to have some collateral to fall back on!

Got a feeling Raphina will do all he can to hold out for a move there too.

Would love to see this backfire for the Chavs !
Although it's been given the "Here we go" treatment, I'd rather we see Richarlison holding the Spurs shirt before Raphina decides to go to Barca.

Chavs will end up with Sterling regardless.

I wanted Gordon, so he could slide back and play RWB....instead of Spence. Still like the idea.
Thing is that none of these lads have ever played a defensive position before (probably)
None of them know about defensive positioning, covering runs etc. FB or WB are specialist positions.

I'm still having nightmares about Sonny at LWB.

Despite his £100m price tag, I see Grealish as a poor man's Joe Cole. IE similar style of play to Cole but less productive.

In some ways Grealish is like Lucas Moura, lots of skill etc but tends to run down dead ends/tries to take on too many defenders/looks good but little end product.

I like Lucas but it is what it is.

Honestly, I can't recall the last time I was this excited for an upcoming season. We have a world class manager, the best striker in the world, one of the best wingers and one of the best centre backs on the planet. We've added some genuine top talent to the squad, instead of gap fillers, and early in the window as well.

I'm not going to say we're winning the league, the gap between us and the top 2 is still there, but we can certainly challenge more, and I fancy us to win a cup.
