I hope some lying media doesn’t try and make out that Eriksen chose United over us, as we weren’t in for him!
No doubt someone will though

Would people be interested in Depay?
Good player, but I kinda think he revels in being the main man. Also think any further option we bring in for the front three should excel on the right, for Kulusevski rotation.
Fuck no.
The deal that's been reported here is €5 million loan fee plus us paying €7 million of his €12 million gross wages (FCB covering the remaining €5 million).
Danny Murphy on TS just said
1. Eriksen isn't world class and
2. Won't get into the Utd ahead of Bruno Fernandes
'world class' has got to be one of the most annoying terms in football.
They still don’t have a viable defensive midfield optionNot sure about that from Murphy. It does poss a question though, both Eriksen and Fernandes are not strong defensively, I think they would be good going forward with both on the pitch but United could also fold like a house of cards unless they have 1-2 really dominate midfielders behind them.
Eriksen to United. Hope he is happy and healthy. Good luck to him but not against us.

Agree. Also, generational and verticality.'world class' has got to be one of the most annoying terms in football.
Felt like our cooled interest was expextations management once we realised what United were prepared to pay (plus a system that suits Eriksen's style more). Throw in that difficult last year at the club and we were maybe never getting him back. The important thing to remember is that Eriksen didn’t turn us down, we cooled our interest in him.
If anyone would feel hard done by, it’s Brentford
My guess is the club felt that Eriksen wasn't very eager on a return, and the club didn't pursue a deal for that reason. Good signing for United, gonna be some drama there next season when Bruno is riding the bench.
