Wish him well personally and hope Utd lose every game. We had the best years of Eriksen anyway so him going there and doing well financially is not a problem at all.
Wish him well health wise, and in his personal life, but I hope he has the worst possbile time on the pitch. I knew he never particularly liked Spurs, but apparently he'd agreed not to move a rival PL club.

I’ll be disappointed to see Eriksen at UTD.

Can’t help be feel we’ve missed an opportunity. Suggestions that Conte isn’t convinced, which is what it is, but he would have just slotted in with ease.

Such man for mam comparisons are silly.

Our MFers are entirely suited to our system......

KDB & Silva would be attackers in our set up; not MFs.

This doesn't change their underlying quality though. Our midfielders might be more suited to us, but it's obvious City have packed far more quality in to their midfield than we have. They have better footballers there and it isn't close.

Man for man or as a collective .. City win in midfield. Not even a question to anyone outside of Spurs.

Cover for Kulu on the RW, and as attacking CM, he'd get loads of game time. He can do 80% of what Kulu does, which is to run on to a Kane through ball and deliver a cross.

Shame he chose them.

How far does this so-called "underlying quality" stretch......? Perhaps KDB can use it to cover at CB when they're in a pinch?

I didn't say they were better or worse..... I maintain that it is silly/pointless.

Play KDB and Silva in a CM2 and they get rinsed...... Fact.

Oh ok, there was some slight misunderstanding then that's now clarified 😎

And with the news we passed up on Eriksen and he's had to go to his 2nd choice ropey league option. I rest my case. A "CAM" is not a priority and doesn't need to be. If we needed a player like that we would have had him, it wouldn't have been a contest. We would have done it because we could and because it would fuck Man United in the face. But we didn't and that's simply because that's not the sort of player we need to use.

Lol, so Friday it was wrapped up. He was already on London.
Today the clubs are still in talks and he's considered "an option"

Fucking state of transfer window "journalism"

It stretches to being far more rare, valuable footballers. Not sure what that has to do with versatility, Dier can play DM/CB if needs be, doesn't mean he's better than Van Djik.

They're better. And so would Xavi & Iniesta .. probably. They're still better too.

The Absolute GOAT The Absolute GOAT

You keep insisting that Conte didn't want him so why the disagree?

Fat fingers whilst scrolling, me old mucker. Consider it removed. No need to cry though matey!

"He never particularly liked Spurs".........that's total bollox. Why invent nonsense, is it so easy to forget how many years service he gave to the club, all the goals and assists and good performances. A player who never liked Spurs wouldn't have put all that effort in. Give your head a wobble mate. How does a player show that they like Spurs anyway? :sonhmm:

Mate; you're waffling.

Not sure what that has to do with versatility,

It's not about versatility; it's about suotability of skillets.

So DM and AM are essentially the same job in your world?

Given the niche position that is your username; this is fascinating.
