I'm 100% with you - it's a totally redundant position in the way Conteball is played. People just can't grasp that we will play 343 from the off in every game. That's how we train. That's how Conte teams win, by having a system that they practice practice practice until it's practically muscle memory.
A "creative midfielder" is gonna be nothing more than a 5-10 minute cameo here and there.
It's really very simple - Kane drops in to make it a 352 then back up to make it a 343. No change of players. No position wasted on a player who only has 1 specialty.
Gotta say, he's looked decent this year.

I'd be all over Olise right now. He's not getting games at Palace for some reason and we could turn his head because of this. He showed enough last season that he can play in the Prem.
Long term he can be the Perisic replacement. He's as close to a two footed dribbler we can get. He's got good delivery. Defensively untested, but Perisic isn't great defensively either.
I rate Harvey Barnes too. Problem with him is that he is developing an extensive injury list. He'd be a direct Lucas replacement. He's direct, commits defenders and has better output than Lucas. Leicester need the money but I imagine they want stupid money circa £50+ mill.
If he stays fit and has a good 3 months, Southgate will have him in the WC squad.
