Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

I honestly don’t know about that, this strikes me as the exact sort of availability bias we have as Spurs fans. We remember all the times Lucas runs down blind alleys and loses the ball but against Leicester, Burnley, Villa last year I could make a highlight reel where he looks like Neymar.

Whereas with Adama and ASM we remember the highlights shown on MOTD and the odd performance, but not the bad stuff, the turnovers, the lazy pressing, the missed runners etc.

Don’t get me wrong they are much more physically imposing and offer better ball carrying as a result. Overall though their end product, passing, vision, crossing, pressing etc are not better than Lucas at all, so it’s not a consequential difference. They essentially would be slightly stronger versions of Moura and I question spunking big money on that.

All of that doesn't matter. Has anybody seen which tweets ASM/Traore have liked? That's the real decider.

No we fucking aren’t. He’s absolute dog shit. The worst winger in the league.

I know there's a strong contingent of supporters who want rid of Moura....badly.

But to replace him with Traore would be madness.
Traore:
162 appearances, 8 Goals, 14 assists, 28% shooting accuracy, 9 big chances missed, 14.75 passes per match, 22 big chances created, 509 crosses.

Moura:
139 appearances, 19 goals, 15 assists, 34% shooting accuracy, 19 big chances missed. 20.94 passes per match, 21 big chances created, 100 crosses,

Moura missed more big chances, but still has a better shooting accuracy, completes more passes, and created 1 fewer big chance despite 500 fewer crosses. While they're both on the shorter side, Moura is better in the air, both offensively and defensively.

If you're thinking of Adama as RWB, in addition to his terrible crosses, he's 33 more fouls (135 - 102), 37 fewer tackles (153-116), 44 fewer interceptions (78-34), 43 fewer clearances (79-36), and 40 fewer headed clearances (59-19). Despite having 23 more appearances.

Unfortunately for Moura he dribbles out of, but back into trouble too often, and has missed a good number of big chances. That's the stuff that's easy to see/remember....

But I don't think he gets enough credit for all the other work he puts in. Flawed certainly, and I wouldn't want him starting, but just don't think he deserves the amount of stick he gets here.
