I love Gil, but he needs another year in the weight room and a full season playing in a physical league where he is one of the main focal points of attack if he is going to succeed in the Prem. I know some folks think the Champo is below his level, but if so, I say he should go show it for half a season at least.
Its not a vote of confidence in Gil but at least he has ability. Traore and James are bench players at lower mid table clubs for a reason. In terms of attacking wide players they're as poor as anything in the division, they make Moura look like Arjen Robben. I'm all for loaning Gil if we can get someone decent.
I think Daniel James is very underrated, and has been handled badly, especially at Utd. He's not big, but he's lighting fast and incisive with the ball. Unless he's actually falling out with Marsch at Leeds though I'm not really sure why he would want to come to us to sit on the bench- he just got out from under that situation with Utd...

I suppose we could have made that same argument for Richarlison had he not wanted to come, but different circumstances IMO.
